Latest Brizy Update Breaks CSS on Subdirectory Installation
Hello Brizy Support,
I'm experiencing an issue after updating to the latest versions of Brizy.
Current working versions:
- Brizy Free: 2.8.19
- Brizy Pro: 2.8.11
When I update to the latest versions, the page design is no longer applied.
I checked the browser's Network tab and found that the CSS files are being requested with an incorrect URL.
Our WordPress site is installed in a subdirectory, and it appears that the subdirectory path is being duplicated.
For example, Brizy tries to load the CSS from:
https://sample.com/lp/lp/wp-content/plugins/brizy/public/editor-build/prod/editor/css/main.base.min.css?ver=371-wp
The correct URL should be:
https://sample.com/lp/wp-content/plugins/brizy/public/editor-build/prod/editor/css/main.base.min.css?ver=371-wp
Because of this incorrect path, the CSS returns a 404 error and the page layout is broken.
Could you please let us know:
- Is this a known issue with the latest version of Brizy?
- Is there a workaround or patch available?
- How can we prevent the subdirectory path from being duplicated?
Thank you for your assistance.

Hi Misa,
Thank you for your patience.
I’ve been able to replicate the same issue on my test site. It appears to affect Brizy websites where WordPress is installed in a subdirectory, causing some frontend asset URLs to be generated incorrectly.
The issue also occurs with the latest versions:
Brizy 2.8.20
Brizy Pro 2.8.12As a temporary fix, please install and activate the Layout Recompiler for Brizy plugin. The plugin automatically corrects the issue as soon as it is activated, so there should be no need to run the recompilation. As long as the plugin remains enabled, the site should continue to work correctly.
If the issue persists, please go to Tools > Layout Recompiler and click Start Recompilation.
Please let me know how it goes.
Best regards,
Ariel H.0
