Questions About Using AI-Generated Website Designs with Brizy

Hello Brizy Support Team,

I am currently exploring how to combine AI-assisted website design tools with Brizy, and I would appreciate your guidance on the following questions.

1. Using Codex-Generated Designs in Brizy

I would like to use OpenAI Codex to help design and develop a website, including the page structure, layout, styling, and possibly the HTML/CSS code.

After completing the initial design with Codex, I would like to recreate or implement it in Brizy so that I can continue editing the website visually.

What is the recommended workflow for doing this?

For example:

  • Can Codex-generated HTML, CSS, or other code be imported directly into Brizy?
  • Can custom code be converted into editable Brizy blocks or elements?
  • Would I need to manually rebuild the design inside the Brizy editor?
  • Are there any APIs, developer tools, integrations, or recommended methods for this workflow?

2. Importing External Templates into Brizy

Is it possible to create a website template using another design or development tool and then upload or import it into Brizy for further visual editing?

If this is supported, please let me know:

  • Which template or file formats Brizy supports
  • Whether HTML templates, WordPress templates, JSON files, Figma designs, or other formats can be imported
  • Whether imported content can be fully edited using Brizy’s visual builder
  • The recommended steps for importing and converting an external template into a Brizy-editable website

3. Improving Results from Brizy AI Website Builder

I have also tested Brizy’s AI website-building feature, but the generated design did not fully match the style, layout, and visual direction I wanted.

Could you please provide guidance on how to write more effective prompts for Brizy AI?

In particular, I would like to know:

  • What information should be included in the prompt
  • Whether I should describe each section, layout, color scheme, typography, target audience, and visual style separately
  • Whether Brizy provides any recommended prompt structure or examples
  • Whether I can provide reference websites, screenshots, wireframes, brand guidelines, or design files to help the AI better understand the desired result
  • Whether the AI-generated website can be regenerated or refined section by section without affecting the entire website

My main goal is to use AI to create the initial website design efficiently, while still being able to fully customize and maintain the website through Brizy afterward.

    Hi Aaron,

    Thank you for reaching out and for explaining the workflow you would like to achieve.

    Currently, Brizy WordPress cannot use external AI tools such as Codex to automatically create complete pages using native, visually editable Brizy elements.

    HTML and CSS generated by external tools can be inserted using the Embed element. However, the code will remain embedded content and cannot be converted into editable Brizy blocks or elements. To make the entire page visually editable in Brizy, the design would need to be rebuilt manually in the Brizy editor.

    The same limitation applies to external HTML templates, WordPress themes, Figma designs, screenshots, and other template formats. These cannot currently be imported and automatically converted into fully editable Brizy pages.

    AI website generation is currently available in Brizy Cloud and is planned for Brizy WordPress in a future release. However, we do not yet have a confirmed release date.

    We appreciate your interest in combining AI-assisted design with Brizy. For now, importing or converting externally created or AI-generated designs into native, fully editable Brizy pages is not supported.

    I understand that complete pages created by external AI tools cannot currently be converted into native, editable Brizy pages.

    I would like to confirm whether this limitation also applies to individual sections or blocks.

    For example, can I use an AI tool such as Codex to create a single website section, such as a hero section, product section, FAQ section, or contact section, and then import it into Brizy as a native, visually editable block?

    Does Brizy support any of the following workflows?

    1. Importing an AI-generated section as an editable Brizy block.

    2. Creating a custom Brizy block using HTML, CSS, or JSON.

    3. Importing reusable blocks or layouts created outside Brizy.

    4. Using Brizy APIs, developer tools, or another supported method to convert external designs into Brizy elements.

    If this is not currently supported, is AI-generated section or block importing included in Brizy’s future development plans?

    Hello Aaron,

    Individual sections or blocks developed by external AI technologies, just like whole pages, cannot be converted into native, editable Brizy content. External content can only be integrated using the "Embed" element. Brizy does not support the following workflows.

    1. Importing an AI-generated section as an editable Brizy block.
    2. Creating a custom Brizy block using HTML, CSS, or JSON.
    3. Importing reusable blocks or layouts created outside Brizy.
    4. Using Brizy APIs, developer tools, or another supported method to convert external designs into Brizy elements.

    Brizy's development is currently focused on making its native AI builder more capable and useful. We recently launched Brizy AI Builder 1.7. Take a look at https://www.brizy.io/meet-brizy-ai-17-one-prompt-your-style-and-a-website-live-in-minutes to see its possibilities. Supporting, external AI-generated sections/pages may be added in the future after our native builder has stabilized. At the moment, this is not part of our plans.
