Why does it require 2 clicks for every hyperlink when using an iPhone?
I have now received (2) emails noting that on every device from iPhone 13 to 17 that it requires a double-click to activate any hyperlink built into at least one particular site - kleanfarmsolutions.com. I will admit that the customer is a real PITA, but I have confirmed this for myself and it does make one pause and wonder why, and NO, I have NOT had Hummingbird Pro running on this site for over a MONTH.

Hi Michael,
Thank you for reaching out.
This is a known interaction specific to iOS devices (such as Safari on iPhones). This is best explained on this article - https://css-tricks.com/annoying-mobile-double-tap-link-issue
To help us replicate the issue, could you point us to one or two specific links on the site where you're noticing this most?
Kind regards,

Two weeks ago, in an attempt to streamline the homepage, I removed the buttons (which required a double-click) from below the product panels and made each product panel a hyperlink. All was good for a few days and then the issue returned. With both an iPhone 13 and an iPhone 16, any of these panels are clicked once with an Android but require 2 clicks with an iPhone. It makes the site appear that it is not responding.

Hi Michael,
Could you try making the product panels slightly larger and adding a bit more padding or spacing around them?
This is worth testing as iPhones can sometimes be more sensitive to smaller or tightly packed tap targets, and increasing the clickable area may help prevent the need for a second tap.
Also, could you send us the page URL where you're seeing this issue so we can test it on our end?
Kind regards,

This has to (again) do with https://kleanfarmsolutions.com. The images are as large as can fit on the screen and there is plenty of padding around the images - especially when viewed on an iPhone simulator, as you will see on this video. I think the issues relates more to some code issues between the Brizy platform and WpEasyCart.com, for this is not the first issue we have had. I will also state for the record that when I began this project, I explored using your affiliate e-commerce system and there was far too little description of the features to be confident that I could make use of it - and I wasn't thrilled with building on Brizy Cloud.

Hi Michael,
Thank you for your patience.
I tested this on an iPhone 11 and was able to reproduce the issue in both Safari and Chrome on iOS. I've also asked a colleague to test it on his device and am currently waiting for his feedback.
In the meantime, would it be okay if we create a clone of your website and test it on a different server? This will help us determine whether the behavior is related to the website itself or something specific to the current hosting environment.
Kind regards,

Yes, please proceed.

Hi Michael,
Thank you for your cooperation.
The issue appears to be caused by delayed JavaScript execution. To resolve it, we added the core Brizy frontend script file paths to Hummingbird Pro's exclusion list so they load immediately.
Please check again and let us know how it goes.
Best regards,

This is strange. I have had Hummingbird Pro disabled for over 2 months do to previous issues.
If possible, can you please send an email listing ALL exclusions and settings I can regularly employ so I may return to using Hummingbird?

I have both Brizy and Hummingbird on over 60 sites, using no compression or combining optimization settings.

Hi Michael,
Please disregard my previous reply.
After taking a closer look, it appears the issue is being caused by Smush Pro. We tested this internally, and two other team members were able to confirm that the links work properly once Smush Pro is disabled.
Kind regards,
Ariel H.0
