Hi Jordy,
Thank you for your patience. We have received the following response from our developers:
Subject: Diagnosis — "Attempt to save invalid project data" error on emmen24.nl
We've completed a full diagnostic of the issue preventing your license activation. Here is what we found and the options going forward.
What happened Brizy stores its global project settings (color palette, fonts, project configuration) in a dedicated database record. On your site this record is completely missing — most likely removed at some point by a database clean-up/optimization plugin or during a site migration (the project itself dates from Sept 2021). Because of this, Brizy refuses to save anything to the project, and license activation is the first action that triggers a save — hence the error "Execution stopped. Attempt to save invalid project data."
The good news All of your actual page content is fully intact and verified: Home, Over ons, Contact, prijzen and 2 drafts. Your live website is not affected and will keep looking exactly as it does now.
Your options
Option A
Recreate the Brizy project (recommended) We let Brizy generate a fresh project record. After this the license activates normally and saving works again. Consequence: the global editor presets (default color palette / fonts inside the Brizy editor) reset to factory defaults. Your published pages keep their current design. Important: these global settings are already lost today — this step doesn't delete anything that still exists, it only restores the ability to save. We have already made a full backup of the site, and the fix itself takes under 30 minutes.Option B
Check hosting backups first (only worth it in one specific case) If your hosting provider keeps database backups and this problem appeared only recently, we could try restoring the single missing record from such a backup with zero changes elsewhere. However, since the project record appears to have been missing for a long time, the chance that a recent hosting backup still contains it is low. → If you'd like us to check, please ask your host whether database backups are available and from which dates.Option C
Do nothing The site keeps working as-is, but the Pro license cannot be activated, meaning no plugin updates and no premium support — not recommended for security reasons. Our recommendation: Option A.
If you happen to know the issue started very recently and your host keeps backups, tell us and we'll try Option B first. Please let us know how you'd like to proceed.
