You can’t make changes. xxx@mydomain.com is currently working on this page. Do you want to take over ?

Then it fails when I say yes. But it allows me to save changes anyway. Happens with every page I edit.

Interesting thing is that the user xxx has been removed from the site and is no longer on the system.

  Hi Jose,

  Could you please try replicating the issue with all other plugins disabled, leaving only Brizy and Brizy Pro active?

  If the issue no longer occurs, it is likely related to caching, where the site may still be holding on to an old editing "lock" from the removed user. In this case, you can enable your cache plugin again and purge the cache.

  If the issue still happens even with the third-party plugins disabled, please try optimizing the database using the WP-Optimize plugin. You can follow this guide:
