experimenting with Cloud and Server Sync
I created a new site using Cloud. I downloaded the zip file and got the new site working on my server. I host with Bluehost. the files were uploaded to a subfolder. In order to load the website I need to enter "www.mydomain.com/subfolder/subfolder 2/" (everything between the quotes). the files are in the subfolder 2. the website loaded and works, but I can't seem to update via the sync process.
1. it won't let me NOT enter the www or the trailing "/". if I enter these characters it will load the web page. ????
2. the sync problem. I can update the website in the cloud and click update. sometimes I get a message indicating "sync in progress". the website never refreshes. I clear the cache in chrome and it still doesn't appear to update. is there something in Brizy Cloud I am not doing and should be. do I have to re-publish on the dashboard? something else?

Hi,
1 - Related to the "it won't let me NOT enter the www or the trailing "/"." - unfortunately, it isn't related to the Brizy. It is related to how is configured the host and domain and all the rules you need to have on this site/subsite. For the Server Sync method, we only offer you the zip folder (HTML) with the site and you have to unzip it on your server.
2 - Could you please send us the URL link of the page where we can find the "Sync in Progress" notification? We want to check this inconvenience. If you don't want to make this information public, let us know and we will delete it before approving.
Thanks!

here is the site on my server: https://www.viewingspaces.com/samplesites/landscaping/
here is the updated site on Brizy cloud: https://landscape.brizy.site
After updating the edits and then previewing the cloud site, I get the sync message notification and it just stays forever. As you can see the site on my server never updates. It was created and has never updated. I have edited the cloud site several times.

I am curious where is the sync coding? Could that have been corrupted?
Is it in the files I uploaded to my server? Does it pull from Brizy? Or is the code in the cloud files and push to my server after an update? What triggers the sync?0 -
Hi Steven,
I checked the page you send us but I didn't encounter the "Sync in progress" notification. See here. Could you please try to clean the browser cache?
When you publish the site using the "Server Sync" method, Brizy Cloud generates for your a zip folder where is added all the site and the necessary files for synchronization. When you upload the site in your server and you unzip the folder all the files and pages are added in your server. We don't find any case when the Brizy Cloud zip folder to e corrupted. Could I ask you, why do you think the zip folder of your site is corrupted?
Thanks!

Sync in progress doesn’t happen every time. But it does happen often.
The real problem is that the site which is hosted on my Bluehost server is not updating when I make changes to the Brizy cloud site. Can you tell me if I should be doing something which I may not be doing. I am pressing Update when completing a page. This I believe saves it and pushes the changes to the public site on my server. Do I need to do something else too?
It is not updating. Compare the two sites from the links I gave you. One should update the other. Why isn’t it updating?

Hi,
Could you please remove the cache folder? Is all starting to sync all the modification you make on the Brizy Cloud?
Thanks!

I have cleared the cache previously. How do you remove a cache folder? from where?

Hi,
Thank you for all these details!
I have created a private ticket on this request. You had to receive a notification regarding this on email. Could you send us in that private message the FTP credentials to this site and continue the discussion there? Thanks!
Best regards,
Sandra0
