Error redirecting domain to Brizy cloud
I tried to publish from Brizy cloud to a custom domain: sterlingwrites.com. Unfortunately, the provider that holds the domain name automatically linked the domain to a virtual server when I enabled the option to create DNS records. Then I decided to just use the WP plugin and host it there since it was already setup. Now the name will not resolve to either brizy.site or my provider. I used the Brizy cloud interface to unlink the site from the domain but that didn't do anything. Then I deleted the site completely. DNS still returns a SERVFAIL error when trying to resolve sterlingwrites.com.

Hi,
Did you discuss with the domain provider about this inconvenience? Did they help you with the cancellation of the virtual server for your site?
If you want to use the domain for the WP site, you have to delete the existent DNS settings that create the connection with the Brizy Cloud from the domain registration.Best regards,

I deleted the connection in the Brizy Cloud dashboard. I'm afraid that the deletion request did not make it all the way to your DNS. Can you check manually? Brizy DNS should have no record for sterlingwrites.com

Hi,
It isn't enough to delete the connection into Brizy Cloud. You have also go to the domain registration and delete from there the Cname and A record that point to the Brizy Cloud site.

I understand, but there is nothing to delete on my end. I was never able to create the Cname and A records in the DNS server that holds the domain name. That's why I did delete the connection into Brizy Cloud. I suspect that action did not take place. Now, I'm in limbo with sterlingwrites.com not resolving to anywhere. If there were anything I could do about it, I would. Can you check your servers?

Hi,
I'm sorry for my late response. I want to inform you that our developers know about your problem and they are investigating and finding a solution for it. We investigating your account and Cloud dashboard. Unfortunately, we couldn't find some details that we could fix. Also, we checked again the site http://sterlingwrites.com/ and we found there non-Brizy code. See here. Therefore, we suppose that you already deliberate this domain and now all is working fine.
Thank you!Best regards,

Sandra,
I had been trying every few days to get to the domain. It finally responded last week, but I did not do anything to fix it. I assumed that you found and corrected the problem. In any case, I'm back in business now. Thank you for following through.
