Images stretching in post template when using Brizy starter theme
Hi there!
I had issues with google not wanting to display most of my pages, seemingly due to performance issues (we'll talk about that in a later moment), so I decided to redesign the website using the Brizy starter theme, which I thought would perform better than my previous choice of using the twenty twenty theme and modifying it with Brizy.
So I created a very simple template for the posts, a header, a block with post title and content, and a footer.
The posts are also very simple, just pictures and text.
It works ok in desktop screens, but the images do not resize correctly in mobile.
Instead of resizing the height to match the maximum width while keeping proportion, they appear stretched, seemingly only the width is reduced, and the height remains fixed.
As you have suggested in a similar post to someone else, I tried another theme (twenty twenty), and the image resizes adequately, but when I switch back to Brizy starter theme, it stretches again.
In order to get the best performance, I wanted to use the theme you are developing on, which I assumed to be Brizy starter theme.
Is Brizy starter theme not finished yet? Will it be anytime soon? Is there a free stable option?
Also, how do I open a private ticket?
Thanks.

Hi,
Brizy starter theme will not have new features or optimizations. It is a clean theme that has no options or css styles. It was created to be installed because WordPress needs a theme to run. Installing Brizy Starter theme assumes that everything else will be created with Brizy builder: pages, posts, header, footer, and so on. Have you created a Brizy Template for your posts: https://youtu.be/cWJEetL4f-s?t=1103 ?

HI,
Yes, I have created a template for the posts, just like the video, which I had seem before.
My template is very simple, a header, the post content and a footer, active for all posts.
I had the posts written before, they are also very simple, one or two pictures with plain text.
When I activate the Brizy starter theme, the images do not resize right in mobile, seems like the height remains fixed and the width is reduced, rendering stretched images.
Any other theme works all right, twenty twenty, neve, astra. Only Brizy starter theme does it wrong. I wish I could use it, as I want my website to be the lightest possible, and that theme seems to fit the bill.
What else could I do to fix it? Can you do it properly on your side?
Thanks.

Hello!
I would like to ask you if it is possible to have the Brizy template URL with the posts. I want to inspect the code for images. If you don't want to share the URL here in the post, I will create a private ticket. Just let me know.
Thanks!
Natalia

Hi
I'm also having the same issue. Images in posts display fine on laptop and desktop but on mobile phone they are stretched vertically.
Help!!!
I just redesigned my site in Brizy Pro as I do prefer it to Elementor however this issue is bad.
Please can you fix this or I will have to revert back to Elementor.
Thanks a million0 -
Hi,
Could you please give us more details about the problem you encounter? Did you encounter it in the Brizy Cloud or in the WordPress environment? Could you please send us the URL link of the page where we can test this problem?
If this problem happens in the WordPress environment, could you please check if you have the latest Brizy Free 2.2.10 and Brizy Pro 2.2.7 version? Also, could you please temporary deactivate all external plugins (except Brizy Free and Brizy Pro) and activate a WordPress default theme?
Thanks!
Best regards,
Sandra0
