Choosing an event calendar plugin
I have two WP sites built using Brizy, both of which need a nice looking event calendar. I had been using Time.ly for one of these sites. The design was beautiful, but the cost was too high for my budget ($700/year) and the support was not great. I thought Modern Events Calendar would be a reasonable replacement. I paid for the pro version and set up the calendar on one of the two sites, but the individual events don't show. The MEC how-to guides are centered on other page-builder brands and the generic guides are not very specific.
I'm wondering what event calendar plugins Brizy users can recommend? I don't mind spending some money on a plugin, but it has to look good and actually work.

unfortunately, at the moment, we do not have an events plugin that we can recommend to our users. Maybe other colleagues in the community have tested one and will share.
btw: I would recommend you look for one that works with shortcodes so you can add it on a Brizy page and it will work independently of Brizy

Did you find a resolution for your event calendar?
I purchased the Pro version of Modern Events Calendar and love the look and functionality. However, I don't think it is very compatible with Brizy. If I activate Brizy Pro on my website it is almost impossible to purchase a ticket with the MEC plugin. It seems that it bogs the site down and is very frustrating. Also with MEC ticket purchasers get a ticket but when selecting the option to download (instead of print) on the ticket, the ticket will not download.
I've filed a trouble ticket with the MEC folks but would be interested to know if you found something suitable and agreeable with Brizy.

Hi Kate,
There are around 60k WordPress plugins so some of the incompatibilities with some of them are absolutely real. Problems only appear when you activate the Brizy plugin or when you use the event plugin on a Brizy page?

This is more a booking plugin than a simple event calendar, also shortcodes just for events arent working in my dev site with brizy. There isnt other alternative?

Please checkout Timely All-in-One Events Calendar You can see my test page using this plugin here https://kctest.online/calendar. This plugin seems to wok fine with Brizy. You can use the shortcode [timely-calendar]

After using the event plugin Timely All-in-One Events Calendar we see that we have problems translating the plugin because it uses javascript.
Do Brizy has any alternative?
