Brizy Templates and dynamic content

    Hi,

The Brizy template isn't a page or a post. It is something like a sketch you create for page/post, category or posts and design it how do you want to look that page. In the Brizy template is recommended to use dynamic elements like Posts element, Post Content, Post title, Featured image and so on. Therefore, the template will get all the dynamic information it needs from the page/post where it is applied and will show you that information in the structure you set-up in the Brizy template.
If you create a template for all posts, you can't go to the "Posts", select a post and start to edit it with Brizy. The Brizy template you created for Posts will not be applied for Posts where is activated the Brizy editor. Therefore, if you want to apply the Brizy template for all posts, you have to edit the posts only with the WP editor.

Another aspect, I want to highlight - in the 1st point, you show that you select the right condition but you didn't click on "Add", therefore the condition isn't added and the template will not apply to any place. Please, make sure that you click on the "Add" and after this on the "Update" button. See here.

    Best regards,
    Sandra

    Hi Sandra,

thank you for your response. Ok so far I think I understood. With templates you create kind of blueprints as you say, the text and picture content gets entered via the standard wordpress input fields, gutenberg aso. (I cannot really imagine how this would work if there are different text fields, but ok for now)

So I did as you said. I created a template, added a rule and saved it. (see screenshot)

Then when edditing the content with brizy I should be able to add dynamic content elements, so the blueprint as you say,  but I do not find them in the list. How would I go about to create a template blueprint for lets say future postings?

    Best regards,

    thank you for your support,

    Max

    Hi,

I notice that you have some questions regarding how the Brizy template work and maybe will ask on your questions related to Brizy Templates. If you have other ones, feel free to ask us.
For example, you create a post using the WordPress editor. There you add the content with headings and paragraphs. Also, here you add the post title and can add the featured image, excerpt. Then you create a Brizy template for Posts -> All. Therefore, this template will be placed automatically to all posts you have created and will be created in the future. This means that if you will create a new post in WordPress, it will have attached the template you designed for all posts.
Inside the post, you add all the elements you want to display on the Post. My suggestion is not adding some manual text and use the "Post title" element to extract the Post title and display it, "Post Content" element to display the post content, "Image" element and display the post featured image https://jmp.sh/tNlLInx and other details, you want to display. Using these dynamic elements, when you will click on "View" of a post, the Brizy template will extract all the needed information from the post (title, content, featured image) and will display these details in the places you indicated to how them. Therefore, all the posts should be edited in the WordPress editor and not in the Brizy editor, because Brizy template can overwrite itself code.
This template you created for all posts can't be found in the template page type. It is a bit different feature and it is different from the Brizy template.

Let us know if we can help you with something else.

    Best regards,
    Sandra
