When new generation images will be supported?

Web analyzers are recommending to move images to new generation files like jpeg 2000, jpeg XR and WebP. I have tools to convert the images to WebP, but when trying to load them in the brizy cloud it says that the formats are not supported and that I have to use only old formats.
Is there any plan to support them in a short term?

  Hi,

  Thank you for the message. We are working on the new image improvements and we are working in the functionality that will convert images to webp. This feature is in the Progress work and our team are doing all the best to release it as soon as possible. At the moment we don't have an ETA for this feature because we want to choose the best solution for integrating it in Brizy and test it supplementary when we will release it. Therefore, please allow us a bit more time for this because we will release something amazing.

  Hi
  i has been told that this work automatically when published but this does not work when export to HTML files.
  Are any plans to support the webp formats also when exported to html files?

  Hi,

  I'm sorry for the late response.
  Yes, at the moment the images in the Brizy Cloud are converted to webp format but on the Export HTML, images are exported in the original format. Also, at the moment we don't have in the progress list to add this option but I will create a feature request and will discuss with the managers regarding this and they will make a decision.
