Cloud-Synchronizing-Roles with WAAS-Multisites. Are contents possible, which only the superadmin may synchronize
Hello, I'm planning to switch my WAAS (Multisite) from Elementor to Brizy and set up another one directly with Brizy. I have a pre-sales question. It is about synchronizing blocks and layouts. Is this handled differently within the WAAS? The client/editor/subsite should still be able to save its contents into there library. In addition, as superadmin I would like to create layouts and blocks centrally and make them available to the clients/subsites. This means that the blocks/layouts created by me (as superadmin) may be used by clients/editors/subsites (insert them into their page) but may not be changed. Only I am allowed to change and synchronize them. Could this also be realized with the cloud library? This is a must-have for me and I am currently implementing it under Elementor with Template Hero from WAAS-Hero. But I'm not happy with this and Elementor.
FYI: Of course the clients that initially use a subdomain will switch to their own domain before going live. I use WP Ultimo.
Thank you and best regards
Steffen

Hi Steffen,
Thank you for getting in touch with us and for your interest in Brizy.
Here, in this situation depends a lot on the role manager and the level of access is attached to each role manager. Therefore, if the user has the editor or administrator role with full Brizy access, then yes, he can create new pages, edit an existing one and save or make global blocks and then use them in other pages. These blocks and layouts can be used only in that site and can't be transferred in another site from the same network. To make this possible, you have to:
1 - Add-in saved the block/layouts you want to share;
2 - Go to Saved Blocks;
3 - Connect with your Brizy account;
4 - Sync blocks/layouts in the Brizy Cloud;
5 - Connect the second site from the network with the same account;
6 - Sync block/layouts from Brizy Cloud.
In such a way you can transfer a block or layout from a site to another WordPress site.Unfortunately, if the user has the editor and admin role with Full Brizy Access then the user will be able to modify them. At the moment, in Brizy we don't have a similar option. I can suggest giving them the Limited access but anyway they will be able to change the images, text and other minor changes.
Let us know if we can help you with something else.

Hi Sandra, thanks for the quick answer.
I think for many WAAS users it would be desirable to provide the client with its own layout and blocks, maybe that would be a point you could at least think about?
Speaking of layout. Many WAAS are created for a special niche. If there are many other niche categories to choose from in the layouts, it irritates the client. Does the Role Editor here allow me to hide individual layout categories? Even if the remaining categories then leaves very few layouts to choose from, but maybe there will be a chance to add them myself at some point?
Thanks and best Regards,
Steffen

BTW in this context. Since centrally maintained blocks as described are not possible, the client has to use shortcuts which I define in functions.php. It would be nice if there was a way to enter and select them more easily, e.g. from a list of existing shortcuts. Or if I could create own widgets like in Elementor to insert these shortcodes by drag and drop. Regards, Steffen.

Thank you for all suggestions. Yes, at the moment isn't possible to create a layout and add them in the "Layouts" section, or to create a new category of Layouts, or to hide an existing one, or to create your own elements and display them in the "Elements" section. We have already created a feature request on this subject and our team are investigating this possibility. It isn't a simple integration and we need a bit more time for it.
Thank you again and let us know if we can help you with something else.Best regards,

I am also building a Brizy WaaS, and the features Steffen is referring to are essential for a WaaS application. Both having the ability to import/export templates (without cloud sync), and to have centralized control of a template library thats made available on subsites is a must.

Hi, Andy,
Thank you for your feedback and implication. We will take into consideration it and will add it to the feature request we already created on this request.
Best regards,
Sandra0
