    Hi,

Brizy has its own method to handle images. Brizy creates a special folder for images where is stored all images used in the Brizy pages. In Brizy pages, is used only images from the Brizy image folder. In this article, you can find more details about this subject. Therefore, when you optimize images from Brizy settings, you optimize Brizy images, images that are used in the Brizy pages. For this reason, can be an inconvenience between what it is displaying in the Brizy settings and what ShortPixel can detect.
We are working to improve and modify the image and optimization module and then it will be clearer how it is working.

P.S. In this article you can find more details regarding the integration with ShorPixel.

    Best regards,
    Sandra

    Hello Sandra,
    thanks for the info.

We made another site with Brizy.
    Previously Elementor was installed.
    I would like some clarifications.

We understand that Brizy creates a folder to optimize images.

What we want to understand is this:

if the images have already been uploaded to the wordpress library, Brizy will take them from there. It's correct?

We don't have to reload all images by going to Brizy first. It's correct?

    I await your info
    Thanks

    Maria

    Hi Maria,

In brizy folder are stored only the images used in the Brizy pages. If you have an image in the Media Library and don't use it in any Brizy page, then it will not be uploading in the Brizy image folder too. Also, it isn't necessary to upload all images from the WP media library in the Brizy image folders.
Let us know if we can help you with something else.

    Best regards,
    Sandra

    Hello Sandra,

    Thanks for the info.

I always write to you in relation to the images.

We created a site from scratch without Elementor but directly with Brizy.
We repeated the image tests before and after optimization with Shortpixel.
After optimization with Shortpixel, ShortPixel tells us that there is nothing to optimize.
The site loads very fast compared to those sites where Elementor was previously installed.

So our bitter conclusions are that the performance in terms of loading speed between a new site (built with Brizy) and the same site previously done with Elementor and then with Brizy is very noticeable.
A site first made with Elementor and then passed to Brizy is significantly slower.

Same pages, same plugins, same basic theme, same images, identical settings.

If you have any suggestions on how to optimize a site that used to use Elementor and is now make with Brizy I would be grateful.

I'd like to ask you one more thing.

When I delete an image from the wordpress library this image is deleted and there is no more on the server.

We noticed instead that the same image created in multiple formats in Brizy's folder

    wp-content / uploads / brizy

they are not deleted and must be done manually.

Do you plan to solve this problem?
Or should we remember to manually delete from Brizy's folder every time we delete an image from the wordpress library?

    I await your info

    Thanks

    Maria

    Hi,

Regarding "If you have any suggestions on how to optimize a site that used to use Elementor and is now make with Brizy I would be grateful." - could you please give us more details? How did you re-make all Elementor pages with Brizy? Did you create new pages and started to edit them with Brizy? What did you with the Elementor pages? Did you delete them? Did you deactivate and delete the Elementor plugins?

About "We noticed instead that the same image created in multiple formats in Brizy's folder" - yes, at the moment, if you delete an image from WP Media Library, this image will be available in the Brizy pages but if you will go to the image and want to change it or make some modifications, then the image will "disappear". Now, we are working on a new image module and it will better optimize the Brizy images.

    Thanks!

    Best regards,
    Sandra
