How to optimize for production
Hi!
I launched my production site with Brizy and overall it looks fantastic. The downside is the client's ad words guy is making the product look bad to our client as it is performing extremely poorly on PageSpeed:
https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fravolt.us%2F
One of the things the report points out is that Brizy preview files are not minified:
- https://ravolt.us/wp-content/plugins/brizy/public/editor-build/157-wp/editor/css/preview.css
- https://ravolt.us/wp-content/plugins/brizy-pro/public/editor-build/44-wp/css/preview.pro.css
I tried installing LightSpeed as per the suggestion here, but it broke the site completely. I tried different combinations of CSS compression and JS optimizations with no luck:

A few questions:
- Is there a recommended best practice for configuring Brizy for production?
- What is the recommended configuration for Litespeed Cache based on the Brizy recommendation?
- I noticed the 2020 WP theme files are loading. Are these needed by Brizy or can they be removed?
- Is there a way to minify + merge the Brizy CSS and JS files without breaking the Brizy in production?
Thank you!

Hi Gregory,
Could you please try to optimize the site using the basic steps? They will help your site to load faster.
1 - Choose a quality hosting plan;
2 - Keep updated your plugins, theme and WP; be sure you have the Brizy Free 2.1.2 and Brizy Pro 2.1.0;
3 - Delete the plugins and themes you do not use anymore;
4 - Add a clean cache plugin and run it;
5 - Use an Image optimization plugin (we have an integration with ShortPixel, therefore we are recommending it because it will optimize also the images from Brizy folder);
6 - Clean the media library from the images you don't use anymore and the first revisions from the pages and posts you know you will not need;
7 - Optimize the database (WP Optimizer).Did you receive some problems with Brizy pages when LiteSpeed is activated? Could you send us some screenshots and more details? How did you configure it?
Also, we don't recommend to delete some theme's files. They can be important on the site and with deleting them, you can create some inconveniences.
No, it isn't possible to merge the Brizy page without the Brizy CSS and JS files.
Let us know if we can help you with something else.
Best regards,

Hi Sandra,
- Hosting plan I have no control over as the client picked bluehost.
- Plugins are up to date
- Already deleted the plugins and themes not in use.
- Already cleared cache.
- Already optimized images using Shortpixel (I have a pro license)
- Already cleaned images
- I didn't delete the revisions yet. Will do that next.
Yes, when I ran LiteSpeed Cache, it broke the site completely. When I enabled minify CSS and caching, all the styles were broken, it was the content without formatting. When I tried to merge the JS, none of the scripts appeared to load.
I tried a few combinations with LiteSpeed but nothing worked which is why I was looking for a recommendation on how to configure it.
I just switched to WPMUDev's hummingbird plugin and it seems to be performing better on desktop, but mobile is still getting extremely low scores on PageSpeed.
Is there a reason the Brizy css files are not minified? Is there a way to remove unused styles from the files for production?
Thanks!

Hi Gregory,
Thank you for all these details and checks. Great to know that on the desktop the score is much better. For mobile optimization - we are working to improve this aspect and soon we will release a video with some suggestion for having an optimization site on mobile devices too. In general, this aspect depends on the level of the entire site and also of the elements you want to display on the mobile mode.
We don't recommend to delete some files because it is a high risk to crash the site.
Thanks!
Best regards,
Sandra0
