    Alright, I've built the template but I'm stuck on how do I tell my blog page to use the Brizy Blog Template? I only have these options for page template:

    Default
    Blank Template
    Visual Builder Template
    Brizy Template

    There is no option anywhere to say Brizy Blog Template...

    Hi,

    In Brizy the template is something like a sketch for a page or group of pages where you use, in general, the dynamic content. Therefore, if you created a template and want to display it for the Blog page, you have to add a display condition for showing on the Blog page. This display condition you have to set from here. After this, you have to make sure that this "Blog page" doesn't have activated the Brizy editor. If this page will have activated the Brizy editor, in the preview you will not see the elements you added in the template but those elements you added in the page.

    In Brizy, the template and page template are 2 different things. The "template" meaning, I already told above but the "Page template" is the way is to build the page. Therefore, in Brizy page template, you have only Brizy elements without some theme elements, in the Blank template is similar with Brizy page template, in the Visual Builder template and Default one, you have the header and footer from the theme.

    Let us know if we can help you with something else.

    Best regards,
    Sandra

    That isn't working. I've done exactly as you describe, set the page up as in the video. I created a new blog page and it still isn't showing the Brizy blog template I created. I have no header image and the page isn't picking up the menu.

    I have to say I am seriously unimpressed with this product at this point. It shouldn't be THIS hard to set up a blog.

    Hi,

    Could you send us a video with all steps of how you created the template and how did you attach it to the Blog page? It will help us to better understand the situation and help you to make the Blog page show the template you created for this page.
    Thanks!

    Best regards,
    Sandra

    I have deleted Brizy and move on to another product. If it takes this long to get something simple like a blog set up I don't even want to think about what sort of nightmares await in setting up Woocommerce. Your product might be helpful to someone doing only static pages but it's non-functional for dynamic content.

    I'm with Sandy at the moment. I've spent 3 hours trying to get the blog functionality in my site... the same amount of time I spent on the entire rest of the website. Please give us some additional support. Thank you.

    Hi there,

    @Sandy Fischler We would like to help you, for this we will need some extra details to understand how did you create the Blog page because we found in many cases that users omitted some steps and for reasons they didn't receive the expected result. Therefore, the screenshots from your side would help us but if you decided not using Brizy Pro Dynamic Content, then we respect your decision.

    @Durand Robinson, Could I ask you if you watched this video? Here we show step by step how to create a Blog page. If you see it and you found that it can be improved or you had already some questions, could you please describe what are those moments that was unclear for you? We will investigate all of them and maybe we will write an article with detailed information.

    Thanks!

    Best regards,
    Sandra

    I'm struggling with this - for a few days now. I think it would really help to put step by step instructions that are up to date and show what a Blog Single template could look like with related posts etc AND what a Blog Listings template look like. I don't fully understand if you design the actual Blog Post with Brizy and put in the headers and footers or will the Blog Single template include the header and footers and other dynamic elements? It makes sense that the Post can be designed with Brizy but only the layout of the content - no headers or footers. I would think the Blog Single Template would be as simple as a Post Content Element sandwiched and the actual Blog Single Template would sandwich the content in the layout between the header and footer. It just doesn't seem to work this way so I'm likely missing something but really think more support with this is needed. I don't want to give up on Brizy.

    Hi, Jeff,

    The simplest way to create a blog page with a Brizy template you can be as follow:
    1 - Create a new page and name it "Blog" for example;
    2 - Go to the Settings -> Reading and select this page ("Blog" page) for the Posts page https://jmp.sh/qdf311o;
    3 - Go to the Brizy -> Templates -> Add new and create a new template;
    4 - For this newly created template add a specific name and set the right display condition. For the Blog page, the right condition is - template type Archive and the condition "Blog/Posts page". See here https://jmp.sh/0XSdZXR;
    5 - Publish the template;
    6 - Inside the template, you can add the elements and blocks you need to display (inclusively header and footer block). In this case, to display all the posts, I suggest using the Archive element instead of Posts element.

    An important detail is to check if on the Blog page from the "Pages" if there isn't activated the Brizy editor. If you see in the Pages this https://jmp.sh/Rw4Cw3k, you have to deactivate the Brizy editor for this page in such a way https://jmp.sh/ma1flFo.

    Let us know if we can help you with something else.

    Best regards,
    Sandra
