    Hi, Jack,

1 - Yes, in Brizy Cloud when you publish the project, it automatically published with Brizy subdomain method like name.brizy.site, but if you don't want to make public the site and not to be indexed by Google, you can save in Drafts the site https://jmp.sh/4AvYoZR. Anyway, the site will be saved with a Brizy subdomain name.brizy.site.

2.a. - This depends on the publishing method you choose. If you choose to publish the site on the client hosting using the Export HTML or Server Sync method, the site will have something like a copy on the Brizy Cloud, but this not means that it is published twice because they have a different domain on different hosting and this is acceptable.

2.b. - No, there are no relationship between name from name.brizy.com and domain name from your client's hosting. Yes, you can have in Brizy Cloud the site with shortname.brizy.site and publish it on the longname.com. The only relationship between these two domains is when you want to publish the site using the Custom Domain because when you publish the site using this method, you need to indicate the Cname and A record with the data from Brizy Cloud.

2.c. - If you use the Custom Domain, you should indicate the correct data from Brizy Cloud, otherwise the site will not be published on the Custom domain. See here more details about how to publish the site on the Custom domain.

3 - For Custom domain and Brizy Subdomain publishing method, we offer the SSL, but for Export HTML and Server SYnc, you need to have the SSL on your hosting. All Brizy pages have SSL but when they are exported on other hosting they need to have there too the SSL certificate.

    Thanks!

    Best regards,
    Sandra

    Hi Sandra,

    Sloppy wording on my part.

If I publish a site either with Server Synch or HTML download for use on my client's hosting account, will the paths, URLs, internal links, etc. be updated to match from name.brizy.com to longname.com?  I know that WP migration plugins usually do this.  I think you do as well, but I'm just making sure.

Example: on name.brizy.com there might be name.brizy.com/about-us, will that automatically become longname.com/about-us?

    Thanks,
    Jack

    Hi,

Ok, thank you for updating us. When you publish the site using Server Sync or Export HTML, you receive the zip folder with the entire information of your page/pages. The structure of the page/pages will be the same as in the Brizy Cloud and they will be attached to the new domain to work fine.
About the URL links inside the pages - if you have set the links with the long syntax as domain_name/page-name then the URL links will not be updated with the new_domain_name/page-name. Therefore we recommend adding the URL with the short syntax as /page-name because in such a way they will be updated for the new_domain_name.

Let us know if we can help you with something else.

    Best regards,
    Sandra
