Contact form "select" option chooses label as an option. How do we disable the label from being an option? Thanks!

  Hi, Louis,

  I'm sorry but the first option from select files is the placeholder or the Label. This is the requirement of creating the select field. See here https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTML/Element/select.

  ohh I see, is this requirement also for multi-select? For example, I can also select the placeholder as an option in multi-select question but that is not desirable. Thanks!

  I still find the same problem with placeholders.
  I used wp-posts in the past and it overcome this problem by setting the disabled attribute to the first option in the select (i.e. the label/placeholder), so you see it listed but you can't select it.

  I'm not sure if I correctly understand you. If you need to select the label/placeholder you can click on the form -> advance -> select the label/placeholder. Please see here.

  Sorry... I didn't explain well.
  I see the placeholder in the select list as a selectable option.
  The placeholder is something like "Please select..." so it shouldn't be possible to select it from the list.
  This is a common problem for forms builder apps. I found it also on wp-posts and the developer overcame it by letting the user choose if an option is enabled or disabled.
