Brizy does not to inherit the logo from wordpress when using the Blocksy theme
I saw a similar question on the forum, but as far as I can tell it wasn't resolved.
Brizy does not appear able to pull the site logo dynamically from wordpress when using the Blocksy Theme. It displays a gray rectangle instead.
The Global header and footer on my site are set to use the "Site Logo" dynamically from wordpress. Using the Astra Theme or the 2020 theme this works correctly. You can see my Logo displayed correctly and in the correct positions.
When using the Blocksy theme, this is rendered as a gray box when the picture in the header is set to "Site Logo". Blocksy ITSELF is finding the site logo correctly. If you use the "Page" button in the lower left hand side of the Brizy Page editor and select Default to let the natural page settings come through, you'll see two headers, with the Blocksy header at the top of the page and it WILL have the logo if you've set it up in the theme.
It appears to be a Brizy / Blocksy thing. Blocksy is seeing and displaying the logo. Other themes will provide the logo correctly for Brizy.
On a whim, I also checked the blog roll page to see if Brizy was seeing featured images, and that part appears to be working correctly. Featured images and post titles are both displaying correctly.
To reproduce:
Using your test site check to see that your header is set to display your site logo dynamically (it's set to display "Site Logo" using the options next to the picture in the header, rather than a specific image set just in the header.), and that the logo is displaying correctly.
Now try loading the blocksy theme.
Load the page again, and you should see just a gray rectangle anywhere the site logo is set to display on your site.
Find the site logo in Brizy: Appearance > Customize > Header > Logo make certain it's set to your site logo
Check the page again, note that Brizy is still not displaying a logo.
Open the page in the Brizy Editor. Click the "Page" button in the lower left of the editor. Change the selection from "Brizy Template" to "Default" so that we can get a peek at the Blocksy Formatting. The logo SHOULD be displayed in the Blocksy Version of the header.
Expected behavior: The header should display the site logo when using the blocksy theme.
I think that's the lot of it. If you need them, I could put together some videos demonstrating the issue later today.
Or is it that I'm just doing something wrong?
All my best,
Will

Hi Will,
We do not use the Blocksy theme so we can neither confirm nor deny the issue you reported. I will open an internal issue and if more users report this, we will inspect it.

If Blocksy is just being added to the recommended theme list this is a very valid issue.

Hi,
That is right, this is a very new partnership, my colleague Alex was not up to speed with this recent development. We've announced Blocksy will be added on our partner's page in the Lifestream last week.
I have a direct line with Sergiu, one of the founders of Blocksy and already notified him about this. He'll take a look and a fix will most likely come in one of the next updates for Blocksy.
Thanks for your patience William and please accept our apologies for mishandling this. We'll do better.Cheers.

Our friends @ Blocksy just replied:
"Just released Blocksy 1.7.36-beta1. Please download it by enabling the beta switch from the Blocksy dashboard: https://share.getcloudapp.com/llu2Qo0b. Before this, the issue was indeed Blocksy not syncing its header builder logo with the regular site logo (this was because you can potentially have multiple headers, with one logo per header, so it was unclear which logo to sync). No this is no longer the case. Now the "logo" from Main Header is being synced.Hope this clears out the issue."1 -
Nice, will test it tomorrow!
