    Hi,

Yes, at the moment isn't possible to add the caption (but this you can add manually with a text element) but you can add the ALT text. For adding the ALT text, you have to click on the image go to Settings -> More settings -> Advanced and here you will find the "Alt text" box where you can set the Alt text. See here https://jmp.sh/0TEhyM1.

    Thanks!

    Best regards,
    Sandra

    Hi Charles,

Every opinion matters for us - therefore I made a feature request for this question. Hope to have this improvement as soon as possible.

    Regards, Natalia

Another vote here for better image dynamic caption or description handling with images. The "ALT text" or ALT title (in screenshot) mentioned above is not showing up for me, and hand-writing every description as a text element is not an option.

    Thanks!

Thank you! I'm interested specifically in getting an image caption or description from the Wordpress media library image attachment displayed, not so much alt text, since the latter is supposed to be reserved for accessibility purposes and/or SEO. This would make Brizy much more appealing for image-based sites and artists and designers of various stripes.

    Hi Timothy,

How do you want to use the image caption and description from WordPress in the Brizy editor? If I'm not wrong they aren't used by SEO. The SEO find the alt-text of the image and use it.

    Thanks!

    Best regards,
    Sandra

Sorry if I was unclear; I think we're in agreement here. I want to use the caption as one would expect, to describe images in a text area below, next to, or on top of an image. Description field I usually use for a longer caption that includles more detail, image credits, etc. often on a separate image attachment page. Alt text I use for accessibility - descriptions for the visually impaired - and SEO.

I am very sorry, but again we`re quite astounded that you rather bring out new fetures every month instead of fixing these fundamental things in brizy...

    • In lots of cases image descriptions/captions are LEGALLY mandetory, so the question not really is if it is nessesary but when do you finally implement it?! It is vital to implement these in all brizy elements that are showing images!
    • Entering an alt-Text for every picture in every site is immensly inpractical. Simply use the
Title, Caption,Description of the media-library and let the user choose which one of these to be displayed and yes, the ability of stiling it in the process is quite obverse.
    • This one is a really simple task, maybe you could fix this one if we have to endure all the blurry images you still didn`t fix after a year later!

    Hi Solution Clinic,

Thank you for your message and feedback!

I don't want to contradict you or enter into a dispute with you because I understand you. I only want to add that the required image attributes are scr and alt. You can check this article. The description and title attributes are supplementary and not so important for the site and its performance. Nevertheless, as I said before, we created a feature request and inform our team about this suggestion. They know about it and will investigate it a bit deeper and will decide future actions. At the moment we have full of work with some other features, fixes and improvements and for this reason, we don't have any updates on this topic.

    Thank you!

    Best regards,
    Sandra

Just want to chime in to echo the previous commenter's frustration. New layouts and design packs are great, but I wish Brizy would prioritize things like this that are fundamental to those of us who use Wordpress as a CMS for robust online sites and expect these basic functionalities tied to the media library, rather than those who design simple landing pages for clients in which where images are just decoration.

    Hi Sandra,
thanks for your answer and the link. The hole purpose of using brizy is the UI. Can you offer us a guide how to get this to work in Brizy?
We need to show the image descriptions in lightbox view of standalone images as well as images from the gallery-element...

Unfortunately your solution https://jumpshare.com/v/zj9bnJtmprgfbOswQ8gS does not work due to missing alt Title...

    Hi Timothy Faux,

Thank you for your message and feedback! I'm sorry if I create some confusions with my last message. We have created a feature request with adding the title and description for the images in the Brizy images. Our team knows about it and will investigate it.

    Thank you!

    Best regards,
    Sandra

    Hi Solution Clinic,

Thank you too for your message! At the moment, we can't provide a workaround for this request and make it somehow display the title and description of the image.

Regarding this screenshot, it isn't related to the WordPress environment but to the Brizy Cloud. In the WordPress environment, the ALT title set to the image when you upload it in the WP Media Library will be used for Brizy images too. See here.

    Thank you!

    Best regards,
    Sandra

I am happy to see there is some support for my view that Brizy should work harder on implementing the 'feature requests' and suggested improvements. I like to think I have made many suggestions (which would REALLY help and make my user experience much better) but they have been ignored... by which I mean that I get a polite response  which (1) thanks me (2) tells me what a good idea it is (3) that it will be taken to team to think about (4) it will go on a list for consideration..... and then (5) ABSOLUTELY NOTHING happens.

For example I made a suggestion about the 'UPDATE' button (perhaps) being RED when changes had not been saved, and being in the default BLUE when there were not any changes to update. (I have created some pages which take quite a long time to 'update' so it would save time if I knew for sure it had been done.) This would be very handy (and I don't suppose that difficult to do???) but was I'm guessing over a year ago.

    Hi,

Per day we receive around 10 recommendations or feature requests and we take into consideration each message we receive from our users. Some recommendations have a low priority, other has a high priority. Therefore, we can't implement a feature request in a week because the backstage of a new feature that is added in the builder is an entire team that makes research, investigation, prototype, tests, design, work, implementation. This a great work, therefore, we have to prioritise our work and time.

Regarding this certain feature request for the Update button - at the moment, if the updates you make wasn't saved you see the loading icon. When updates are finished and all changed you make were updated, the loading icon disappears and you see back the "Update" label. At the moment, it is working fine and we didn't receive any other request from other users who will request the changing of the button colour too. Therefore, this feature request receives a low priority.

    Thank you!

    Best regards,
    Sandra

@Sandra Prunici, thanks for your answer and your effort.
But the question was not to show the alt-title via browser inspector (we all now that) but AS CAPTION OF THE IMAGE!
How many end-users do you know that are programmers or even know what a browser-inspector is?

@Charles Crossley - Yeah, welcome to our world. The brizy team is obversly too busy presenting new features every week instead of fixig all the bugs of already existing brizy features. We're waiting for a minor woocommerce-bugfix for over four month now - nothing happens. Sorry brow, implementing feature requests from PAYING CUSTOMERS is complete fantasy at brizy at this point...

    Hi @Solution Clinic,

Thank you for your feedback and your message. I understand you and your feelings even if it is a bit sad to hear such words. If you don't want to trust me at this moment, I know that you appreciate all our efforts in making the Brizy builder better and better with each update and you like Brizy because you use Brizy builder. On each update, we strive to release the most wanted fixes, updates and new features and enhancement and during the time we prove our devotion to our users. Every day when we start working, we come with a good vibe and intentions to improve the Brizy builder and experience of using Brizy. Therefore, each feedback (positive or constructive), each feature request and each interaction with our users is very important for us and we strive to consider each opinion.

The issues with WooCommerce is already on the developers and they are working hard to release the fix as soon as possible. We want to make sure that we provide our users with the tested fix that will work without problems.

    Best regards,
    Sandra

Hi, is the alt tag for images option available? I can't seem to find it anywhere:

    Hi,

In WordPress you can add alt tag in Media Library for all your images.
In Cloud you have "Alt tag" option when you open advanced settings: View screenshot.

    Best regards,
    Denis.

Thanks Denis! It works however for only some of the images.

    Examples:

Here all images have now alt tags:

    https://pochivki-turcia.bg/най-добрите-плажове-турция/

But here none of the images print any alt tags in the html:

    Hi Ivo,

Images in this page are set as background images. In this case alt text couldn't be added because image is not displayed as <img> tag but is added in CSS code.

    Best regards,
    Denis.

I want to echo everyone else's sentiments and implore that you prioritize it immediately. Not having the ability to add captions to images in the gallery is a deal breaker for us. This is a basic feature which our clients demand. I am surprised that it has not been implemented as of yet. Please get this done ASAP.

    wanna add into this here:

Nice, that i can set Tags (by hand... on every image...) but why does "All" have to be in english? Why can it not be translated into my Wordpress Language or even better, let me choose what phrase i wanna use for "All"

also: please implement these changes faster... i just want a description being displayed in the lightbox when opening an image from the gallery element.
