How do I create a subscribe text input box and button like below with a drop shadow effect over an image?

  Hi,

  For this, you have to add the Form element and leave only the Email field and Submit button. After this set them with 50% from settings. Then customize them with 0px border and add to the column where is placed the form the bottom border for hover. See here.
