What is the status on Unyson being updated for WP 5.5?

There's been a discussion over here about some aspects of Unyson being broken after WP 5.5 launched: https://github.com/ThemeFuse/Unyson/issues/4029 - and while there have been some temporary fixes made, we're curious when a more permanent fix will be available.

  unfortunately, we don't plan to release a new update for Unyson in the near future.

  We understand that new features for Unyson are out of the question.

  But WordPress 5.5 introduced some critical problems with Unyson, which make some parts (boxes, addable boxes, rgba color picker) unusable. For the developers of ThemeFuse it might be easy to fix these problems, which would help the community greatly. Moreover, the community has already created some fixes, but we are not able to distribute them through the WordPress update process.

  Our customers are suffering at the moment. Therefore I’d even be willing to pay for the work that needs to be done, if within reason.

  Hi Alex,

  Your reply is just broken my heart. I really love this framework. all of our themes & plugins are based on Unyson. I wish the team change their mind. if they only release an update for major WordPress updates that's also fine.

  btw, may I know when the Brizy Developer API release so we can make some custom widgets for it?

  Hello, We worked on many themes with Unyson as well as with Brizy, Now our clients facing issue with Theme Settings in Unyson? What to do now?

  This is very bad that without any notification's you have stop supporting the Unyson. Same would be with Brizy in future? Should we consider this and stop using Brizy as well?

   

  This is not a major update with Unyson and other users on github has fix this but you should send an update officially. https://github.com/ThemeFuse/Unyson/issues/4029

  I don't think so if it would take an hour to submit an update. You people are marketing your Brizy plugin through Unyson and this is not good for Brizy in future as well. Think about it

  Hi guys,

  I understand your dissatisfaction and I sent all these requests to the team and we will make an update that will fix the critical issues. I can't give you a timeframe but we'll look at that.

  Is Unyson being updated for WordPress 5.5 then as I see now that according to the WordPress.org repository it says that Unyson has been tested as compatible with 5.5.2. https://wordpress.org/plugins/unyson/
