Related posts

In WordPress builder.

How can I show related posts on the posts page? I can only see that, I can show a list of recent posts from a tag or category, but I only want to show  from the same tags and/or category that the current post has.

Also I want to exclude the current post from this list.

  Hi,

  At the moment, the Brizy Posts element doesn't have the option to show related posts and to exclude the current post from that list.
  Let me know if I can help you with something else.

  Do we have an update on this, we need to display related posts from the category of the current post. Is there a workaround to achieve this functionality?

  Hi Riaan,

  For displaying related posts and excluding the current post, Brizy does not provide a good option. Please consider installing a plugin which either supports a short code or has a block which displays related posts.

  I tested the plugin Related Post Thumbnails Here is my test blog post. https://brizytest.online/the-yinki-ilori-colour-explosion

  This plugin supports a Gutenberg block which displays the related posts. Under Appearance - Widgets, add the Related Posts Gutenberg block to any blank widget. 

  

  In the Brizy blog post template, drag the Brizy Sidebar element and select the widget area where you have added the Related Posts block.

  

  You could also explore other plugins from this list https://blog.hubspot.com/website/best-wordpress-related-post-plugins

  If you use a plugin which supports shortcodes, you can use the Brizy Shortcode element to display the Related Posts.
