Is Brizy sending marketing emails to my clients without explicit opt in?
I have opt-in concerns about the marketing emails I received from Brizy in the last few days. Can the Brizy team please clarify?
I setup a dummy client user to test the sign up experience as an invited editor/manager. That "client" user is getting your marketing emails, so I'm assuming the half dozen or so real clients I have invited to Brizy are getting Brizy marketing emails as well?
My issue is at no point in the account sign up flow is there a place to "opt-in" to marketing emails from Brizy.
Technically your Privacy Policy says you may use "Personal Information" for email marketing, but that's pretty shady IMHO. The spam laws vary wildly by location but it's terrible practice to subscribe someone without informed permission.
Express consent is probably even MORE important for invited users who are less familiar with your platform/brand than the user who invited them to sign up. I get forwarded "what does this mean?", or "Is this important?" emails from clients weekly.
Without direct consent you should only send transactional emails regarding the account, service outages and billing. Can the Brizy team please clarify?
1. Does Brizy send marketing emails based on implied consent (account sign up)? No express opt-in required?
2. Do invited users (my clients/team) get automatically subscribed to your marketing emails as well?
3. If so, how can I get my clients unsubscribed from your marketing emails? Can I opt them out when I send the invite link?
I won't be launching any more projects on Brizy without clarity on how you treat my client's Personal Information. Thank you for clarifying.

Thank you for your message and for reporting this. Normally, we don't send to all users that created a Brizy account the marketing emails and this should not to happen. I already informed our team regarding this inconvenience and we will fix it.
I'm sorry for this inconvenience!
