Featured Image on pages does not show up in social media link sharing

Hi,

I have set up a wordpress site using the Brizy pro plugin. We have set a featured image for the homepage, but when the link is shared on social media no image shows up. 

 

How do I get featured images to work via social sharing? Your help would be greatly appreciated.

  Hi,

  I suggest adding an SEO plugin, like Yoast SEO plugin and using it customize the way is displayed the page when it is sharing on the social media networks.

  Hi Sandra,

  Thanks very much for the feedback. Yoast does seem to be doing the trick. Whatsapp still isn't working, but it apparently uses the same info that facebook does (which is working) so it might just be a case of whatsapp catching up.

  Hi,

  Thank you too for your reply. Yes, the Yoast doesn't have an option for Whatsapp, only for Facebook and Twitter. For other applications or social media networks, the title, description, feature image etc. can be got from general settings or as you notice from Facebook/Twitter settings.
