Issues with lightbox for gallery and carousel

I know that there have been some similar issues posted and that Brizy support has indicated a major update is forthcoming with some fixes.  I don't think that all the issues I am going to raise have been discussed. 

Please refer to https://electriscan.websitesbykts.com/samples/ as the page on which I am having the issues.  It's WP. 

1. The gallery at the top of the page's body and the carousel at the bottom both have the lightbox enabled.  In at least some combinations on tablet or phone, once the lightbox is opened there is no way to get back to the page using on page controls.  The carousel definitely does not display the close X and tapping outside of the image does nothing. 
2. The lightbox image is sometimes smaller than the page image on a smaller than desktop display. 
3. There is no way to scroll through the lightbox images on any size display - like arrows or circle navigation.  It's really needed. I don't expect to be able to scroll through images in another block, such as seeing the carousel images in the gallery's lightbox.  

I also want to alert you to a separate issue I am having with the media library.  If I am editing a page in Brizy and load additional images to the library in a separate browser tab, the page in Brizy does not see the images.  I have to reload the Brizy editor.

  One additional question. 

  For both gallery and carousel blocks, is there a way to have image related info displayed, either on or below the image?  I'm referring to the Caption or Description as set in the Media Library.

  1. I checked it on the 4.7-inch screen and the closing icon is there: https://jmp.sh/JEVstn1 

  2. Can you please send some screenshots of the problem?

  3. Yes, at the moment the images in the gallery are separate but we have this on the list and we will add navigation in the lightbox.

  4. Unfortunately, at the moment there is no option to add image description. This is on the list.

  Hi Alex, 

  Your screenshot is a 404. 

  Please check again.  On my phone, I do see the closing icon for the gallery, but not for the carousel.  

  Regarding the image metadata in the carousel.  Could it be accessed via the dynamic data?

  Hi Jack,

  please check this: https://jmp.sh/75cVHsd I think it's the Gallery element. I also checked the carousel element at the bottom of the page and I can confirm that the lightbox is not working properly. It opens the image on a separate page, not in the lightbox. I opened an internal issue with this and we will fix it in one of the next updates.

  Regarding the image metadata: unfortunately, no.

  The carousel lightbox does work ok on desktop.  Not sure about tablet. 

  Also, I don't see a way to disable the lightbox for mobile only.  Is that possible?

  Hi,

  Unfortunately, this is not possible. As a solution, you can duplicate the section that contains the carousel element and hide it on desktop, but display it on mobile with the lightbox option turned off.
