Brizy does not load when WordPress Address URL is different from Site Address URL

In WordPress SETTINGS page, you can set the Site Address (URL) different than WordPress Address (URL), for example:

WP Address URL is : https://www.test.com/wordpress

Site Address URL is:  https://www.test.com

See : https://wordpress.org/support/article/giving-wordpress-its-own-directory/

 

When it is setup that way, Brizy doesn't load for the page you are editing.

In the brizy plugin, you probably need to use wordpress function:  "get_home_url()" instead of "get_site_url()".

Can you please fix this quickly?

  I made some pages first, then I changed the Site Address setting.  After that it didn't work.  But, when I logged out and logged back in, it worked.

  I thought I had tried everything.  I think Brizy didn't realize I changed that setting.

  Please disregard this issue.

  Hi Rick,

  Could I ask you why do you want to set a different Site URL and WordPress URL? The article you send us is related to WordPress and not with Brizy. To correctly work, Brizy needs that the Site URL and WP URL has the same address and to change something vital in Brizy, we need to investigate a lot before taking a decision to implement or not.

  Hi Sandra,

  Suppose you run multiple applications on the domain, you may want to put wordpress in /wordpress, and another application in /app, and then route the user based on the URL.  This way you keep your files separate for each, and wordpress files are not floating around in the root folder.

  So, the website root is still wordpress.  The domain isn't different, only the folder where the accessed files are is different.

  But, it looks like Brizy does support this already.  Only, once you make the configuration change in WordPress, you have to logout and log back in for Brizy to accept the changes.

  It looks like it works fine, for now.
