Issue with popup settings
I have created a couple of popups in WP. I want them to show up when a particular image on a page is clicked. In order to have that, I select the popup control icon on the master block black ball. I delete the defaults for when and how it shows in order to prevent it loading on page load or page scroll, etc. I save the popup and update. The default control settings keep returning. I have to make removing them the last thing I do before saving and updating.
You can see them at https://entryscanir.com/why-not-do-it-yourself/ where they are associated with the two photos near the bottom of the page. Be advised that I expect to be changing the URL tomorrow morning, my time, GMT-4.
Thanks

Hi Jack,
Did you create the pop-up for images in the Brizy -> Pop-up? If so, I want to say that in such a way you create a global pop-up that will display on the certain conditions on the entire site. To them isn't possible to set a condition to display when you click on an image. They have some default conditions but you can overwrite them, but you can't delete all of them. To display it needs to have some conditions and if the user deletes all of them, is set some default conditions.
If you want to open a pop-up to an image, you can set it directly to that image. For this, you have to go to the page, click on the image and open the Link option. From here you will find the "Pop-up" option. Here you can create the pop-up that will be displayed when the user will click on that image. https://jumpshare.com/v/uPVFlJn4UfJllWTIo3d8

Hi Sandra,
That is exactly what I did. It did work and I was able to select the desired popup from the Saved Blocks when I clicked on the hyperlink/popup button in the page editor.
Am I likely to find that these popups start misbehaving because of the way I created them? I want them to show up only when the image in question is clicked.
Is there a way to salvage them without having to recreate them from scratch? It was a fair bit of work to make them, especially making sure that the tablet and mobile also were usable.
Also, by saving them as Saved Blocks, I am able to select a previous one to edit by replacing content and having most, if not all of the formatting saved. That's a big timesaver!
I tested your approach and see that I can save the popup generated that way as a reusable saved block also. Is there really any difference in that approach? Is it safe, or will making it a Saved Block introduce the issues of when it shows up? Is it advisable and safe to go to the page editor, select the link tool>popup>bring in a saved block that was created in the free standing pop up builder and edit it for the new image? Will that bring in the issue of the default controls because the block was originally created free standing but is being edited via the page editor?
Thanks
Jack
BTW, the testing I just did is on https://entryscanir.websitesbykts.com/why-not-do-it-yourself/, the development site.

I just created a third pop up in the page editor, but did it by selecting the one of the boy from the saved blocks that was created in the free standing popup editor and modifying it.
Is that safe? Do I have to delete the saved one from the free standing editor to avoid its showing up unexpectedly?

If you created them as a Global pop-up, it is safe to add them in the "Saved block" and then select one of them to add in the Image -> Link -> Pop-up. After this, after you will add the pop-up in the Saved block, you can delete the global pop-up. You can do this with one simple pop-up for the test and then check if all is working fine.
Let me know the result!

Hi Sandra,
I almost followed your instructions. ;-)
I kept the pop-up that I created in the Brizy>Popup and saved as favorite. I did not save it as a Global.
I used it directly on one image in Brizy>edit page in Brizy. I used it as a base for the second popup on the second image and edited it to be correct. I have not deleted the one saved from Brizy>Popup.
It looks like it's working fine. Do you see any danger in leaving the one from the PopUp builder in the Saved templates/blocks? My concern is that it may suddenly decide that it's supposed to pop up on every page load or similar.
You can see them near the bottom of https://entryscanir.com/why-not-do-it-yourself/

Hi Jack,
I suggest deleting the pop-up from Brizy -> Pop-up because if you will leave them there, they can appear on a page in regarding with the display conditions and triggers it has set. If you already added the pop-up in the Saved Blocks as Favourites it is fine and enough. If you want to be sure regarding this. You can try deleting only one pop-up and check if all is working as it should and it will not be deleting from the Image element you place it.

Hi Sandra,
I was very nervous about deleting the popups from Dashboard>Brizy>Popup. I have just done so and it looks ok.
Thanks!

Hi Jack,
As I said in the previous messages, if you added the Pop-up in the Saved blocks and already added them to the image, it is safe to delete them from Brizy -> Pop-ups.
If you want to be sure regarding this, you can try deleting only one pop-up and check if all is working as it should and it will not be deleting from the Image element you place it.

As I said in my most recent message, I have done it. I was just nervous about it. ;-)
