Leads
Hi, when people try to correctly fill out a contact form on our landing page they get a "sorry, your message was not sent" error even when the information is successfully transferred to "leads". This is misleading and frustrating for people wanting to contact us.
How can this be corrected?
smtp has been correctly configured.
It would be great if I could get a copy of the lead information in the designated email account as well.
Quick help is greatly appreciated as we've just launched.

Hi,
Did you have the hosting from Godaddy? If so, the problem happened on the form is caused by a restriction of Godaddy to integrate a form with Gmail. Unfortunately, Godaddy "refuses to send with a
Fromaddress belonging to any aol, gmail, yahoo, hotmail, live, aim, or msn domain (see their docs). This is because all those domains deploy SPF and DKIM anti-forgery measures, and faking your from address is forgery." The source of this information is here https://github.com/PHPMailer/PHPMailer/wiki/Troubleshooting (try to find the SMTP connect() failed)).Thanks!
Best regards,

Hi and thanks for the response. No, I do not use GoDaddy for hosting and I'm not using a gmail, yahoo or other large email service provider as the from address.
I've watched the Brizy youtube tutorial about setting up a contact form but is there other documentation about setting up the from information in the settings of the contact form?
Also, where would I look to find the exact error in order to diagnose the real problem?
Thanks,
Desireé

Hi Desireé,
Here you can find a detailed instruction regarding Email Notification via SMTP https://support.brizy.io/hc/en-us/articles/360043766792-Email-notification-via-SMTP also here here you can find more information on form integration https://support.brizy.io/hc/en-us/sections/360008965292-Form-Integrations
Let m know if you followed all steps related in the first link I send you and if the problem still appears. Also, try to clean the browser and site cache. If this will not help too, try to deactivate all plugins (except Brizy Free and Pro) and activate a WP default theme and check if the problem still appears. If the problem will no longer appear, this means that the problem can be in a plugin or the theme.
Let us know if you will encounter the same problem after all these checks or if the problem will be solved.
Thanks!Best regards,
Sandra0
