Front end display larger then builder display

The front end display on my laptop is larger then that of the builder when building a webpage. This effects the whole of a layout images and text making it very difficult to design a layout with any accuracy?

  Hi Laurence,

  I'm sorry to say but it is a visual effect and not a problem. When you are in the build mode of page, you don't see the page on the full width of the screen because here you see also the bar with general options https://jumpshare.com/v/ovb4vF2qhoJ1sLniuMJg and it makes that the screen width is smaller with ~50px. When you go to preview mode you don't see that bar and visually the page is larger because the screen width is larger with 50px but it isn't a problem.

  Thanks for your reply Sandra but the difference is much more than the removal of the side bar in the front end. To get an approximate comparison of scale between the builder display and the front end display I have to reduce Chrome browser to 75% magnification.

  Hi Laurence,

  It is strange because I checked this inconvenience on my cloud project and all worked fine, I can't reproduce this issue. Could you please check if the browser zoom is the same for builder mode and preview mode?

  As the problem has now gone away, it's not possible to confirm what the problem was but I believe the builder was opening up and displaying at 75% magnification. and the preview was displaying 100%. If this was the case - I have no idea why this should have happend or indeed not be happening now - but in future should this happens again I will be able to confirm it and correct it.,
