Indexing of websites exported from Brizy Cloud
Hello,
I have a few questions regarding Brizy Cloud.
Let's say I finished designing my website in Brizy Cloud and I choose to export HTML/CSS in order to host it somewhere else.
So now I have an original website on Brizy Cloud - let's say - mywebsite.brizy.site and an exact copy of it on different hosting - let it be mywebsite.netlify.app.
Obviously in this scenario I want to keep the original version on Brizy Cloud to be able to make future edits but I don't want it to be indexed.
So - I assume that until I explicitly choose to deploy a website with Brizy Cloud subdomain by clicking on this button visible on the screenshot this website should't be indexed - is this right?

Best regards,
Paweł

Hi Pawel,
Yes, on the creating the site in Brizy Cloud, it is automatically published with Subdomain method. Therefore the Google can find it and start indexing it. I sent to our managers your request and we will take a look and will investigate the option to hide a project from Brizy Cloud.
Thanks!
Best regards,
Sandra

Hi Sandra,
I think this is very important and my guess is that almost every person that chooses to export a website's code to host it elsewhere, wouldn't want it to be indexed multiple times. So it seems that the same situation would be with the Server-sync option - and in any scenario where the Brizy Cloud serves as a kind of virtual "workshop" where the site is created in order to be hosted on some other server.
Thanks for investigating this,
Paweł

Thank you! Yes, we will improve this aspect. We already created an issue on this topic and our developers will investigate this inconvenience!

I also need the ability to block indexing. I am planning on using a site for some internal documentation that I only want to share with specific clients. I will absolutely need to make sure the content is not indexed and publically searchable. I would prefer to not have to build out a full Wordpress site for this.
Are there any updates on this topic?
Thanks!

Hi, Rich,
At the moment you can save into Draft the entire site of some pages and in such a way the site and that certain page will not be indexed. If you want to make a page visible for some users, unfortunately, at the moment we don't have a solution for this. In your case, you need a password protected page. We have added this feature in our Suggestion list and we will add it. https://trello.com/c/RxkCtWrs/76-appsumo-password-protected-content
Thanks!

I actually do not need password protection for this. This is only a dashboard that contains non-sensitive information for specific clients. It just shouldn’t show up on search results for anyone to happen across.
Clients with specific links will access their page directly, with no password required.
I just need the option to not have the pages indexed by search engines or to “discourage” indexing, similar to the option offered on a Wordpress site.
