Managing and Sharing Blocks

    Hi Jack,

Thank you for the question. If I understand well, then I will give you good news. At the moment, if you will save a block or make it as global, that bock is available in all project from all subaccounts of a user. This means that if you Saved a block on test.brizy.site from Personal Projects, this block will be available to add in all project from Personal Projects and also in other subaccounts you have. https://jumpshare.com/v/Ht42Xjr19FQW57dFmfW5

At the moment, between Brizy Cloud and WordPress isn't a "relationship" and therefore, isn't possible to share into WordPress site a block that is created in Brizy Cloud. At the moment, we are working to create a connection between Brizy Cloud and WordPress and after this, we will take into consideration creating the ability to share a block from Cloud to WordPress and vice versa.

    Thanks!

    Best regards,
    Sandra

    Hi Sandra,

It sounds like Brizy Cloud has the sharing capability within the Cloud environment.  Good news!

You did not address whether sharing is possible between WP sites - if I build two sites in WP using Brizy WP, is there a way to share blocks or templates between them? I suspect this is a harder task, unless there's a way to save blocks somewhere outside of the particular website.

I understand that the Cloud - WP sharing is under development. Looking forward to it!

You did not address the questions about managing blocks:

    1. Is there a way to label blocks in the saved or global blocks areas so that it is easier to pick the right one? (I suggested this on a recent webinar and got a lot of "yes!" from the other attendees.) Or, alternatively, a way to zoom in on the thumbnail?
    2. How do we manage our saved and global blocks?  I have seen JP's video where he gets to the library by clicking on "add a block" and then can either pick one or delete them. Is there a more direct way to call up the library?

    Thanks.

    Best,

    Jack

    Hi Jack,

Between WP sites isn't possible to share a Saved block. A WP site is an independent instance and it doesn't communicate with other sites. Yes, you are right it is a complex and complicated task and maybe in the future, we will take it more attention. For now, we have other interesting feature and options we prepare and we are excited about them like Funnel for Cloud, Log-in form, Dynamic Content for WooCommerce, Element block conditions etc.

1 - No, unfortunately isn't possible to add a label or zoom the thumbnail of Saved/Global block. Just now, when you add a block in a Saved/Global block, for that block is made a screenshot and it is displayed in the Saved/Global. When you make a modification in that block and update that modification, the thumbnail of the block is updated because it is made a new screenshot.

2 - All Saved and Global block can be access when you want to add a new block. From here you will find a section with Saved Blocks and another with Global Blocks. From here you can delete them. Isn't another place where you can access them.

    Thanks!

    Best regards,

    Sandra

    Thanks Sandra,

Sounds like some fun stuff is coming!

I wonder if an export to file for a block or template would be a route to share WP based blocks.  Just a thought.  Obviously it has some attraction if possible.

    1. OK.  There are labels enabled in the Layouts section accessed for new blocks, although not in the Blocks section. Sometimes we have similar blocks and it's hard to tell them apart, so labels would be useful.

    2. OK.  That does work, but it just seems that direct access makes some sense.  Not a high priority by any means.

I will share with our managers these suggestions and they will make a decision regarding them. Thank you a lot for them!

    Best regards,
