Issues with multiple users - error message saying someone is already editing the page

Hi, i've seen this reported elsewhere on this forum, but we have the same issue on our site. Essentially 2 people are editing the site at the same time but they are definitely on different pages in different browsers but Brizy is reporting they are editing the same page and then it won't allow it. This is not the same in Wordpress itself as this seems to be fine.

Is this a known issue as it appears a few people are affected?

  Hi Matthew,

  this restriction does not apply to a single page, it generally refers to Brizy builder. Brizy cannot be used by more than one person at a time on a single dashboard, whether the same page is being edited or not.

  I don't remember this being an issue before.

  Do you have any alternative suggestions on how multiple people can work on the same site at once or is it just not possible in Brizy?

  No, that hasn't always been the case. It was introduced after Global Blocks was added. This restriction is related to Global Blocks. It becomes problematic when the same global block is saved simultaneously from several parts.

  We currently do not have a solution for Brizy to be edited by multiple users or on different pages.

  thanks for the response. It's odd because i am sure this has been working up till the last 3-4 weeks and global blocks have been around a while now.

  I noticed in one of your last updates that the changelog had suggested you added a feature to improve the messaging around who is editing the page at the time and i wondered if this was a bug that had crept in from this.

  I love Brizy and recommend it regularly but this is a bit of a negative against it. You should at least be able to edit different pages within the site at the same time as other editors.

  I understand what you say and we received several requests in this regard. We have this in discussion and we will think about how we can improve this. But for now, this restriction remains valid.

  As someone who also reported this issue a few days ago, I would also agree that this is a bit of a negative against Brizy. I love it otherwise and would recommend it highly to anyone but this needs to be fixed.

  There is nothing to fix here. That's how it works. But, I agree that this should be improved. We have this on the list.

  Hi there,

  We're experiencing this issue lately where only one person can edit content, be it a page, blog post, custom post etc with Brizy.

  For example if one person is editing a page with Brizy and then another edits a post with Brizy one of the users gets a warning message and is thrown out of what they are editing.

  We had experienced this but not for a year or two. Can you advise?

  We're using Brizy Version 2.4.27 & Brizy Pro Version 2.4.24 and WordPress Version 6.3.1. So we're up to date on plugins WP etc.

  Hi Darren,

  This has been a limitation with Brizy from the very beginning. We regret that we have not worked on a solution for this yet. We have this issue listed in the list of proposed improvements. We will eventually get to this issue.

  OK, that's good to know.

  What's odd though is that we've been editing content on the same site with different users for at least a couple of years so not sure how we managed it!
