Blog Template confusion
Hi there,
Im getting a little confused with making a blog template in Brizy (with a Global Header) and then seeing that when I create a new post both in edit and live viewing.
Ive created a Template that INCLUDES -- POSTS --ALL, then edited in Brizy adding 'hashtag' Titles, Content as well as the Global Header/Footer and then UPDATE as usual.
...then when create a new post, add title, Featured image and make it the Brizy Template I then assume that when I go into Brizy to edit I will see the Global Header/Footer and all the other stuff I added in the template.
I see none of that... I get the usual BLANK post with just the Brizy ADD feature.
Ive tried to follow the 3 vids related to Blogs and one of them is 2018 (so im guessing things have changed) and the other two dont connect the dots for me. One of them suggests that I dont use Brizy at all and just use the Theme styling and not Brizy Template but if so why is there an 'Edit is Brizy' and how do I get the Headers etc?
Sorry if im missing something obvious but ive noticed others have been equally confused.
Any chance of a really basic step-by-step explanation?
1) setup Blog Page Template
2) Edit Template with Brizy
3) How I then create a new post to ensure the Template shows on the edit
Other than the Blogging issues (Me not the Builder) I'm loving using it all. Results are great
Thanks
Andy

Just to add -
Ive been following this tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cWJEetL4f-s
- I follow it exactly and when I get to 7.38 to add the TITLE & EXCERPT all I get is a black box. Even if I continue as it says I get nothing. I assume something isnt pointing in the right direction
- Ive attempted to do the same for the individual blog page too and nothing works there either.
- The video suggests that as a PRO user I should be able to create a TEMPLATE for both Listings and the BLOG POSTS but nothing im doing works at all. What am I missing as ive played this and others multiple times and it doesnt work.
is it possible for WP/Brizy to get confused if ive tested and deleted menu/pages/categories. Ive created a perfect home page so I really dont want to WP Reset if I can avoid doing so.
Helllllllllp!!!

Spent a lot of time trying to work it out last night and for the most part I 'finally' have it working. In the videos there were a few vital bits of info that were missing (to a noob like me) and thus kept tripping me up. There's a certain sequence/logic logic to get these working properly which I didnt get but fundamentally once the blog templates are done all posts are actually done in WP (not the builder) so unless I want a bespoke post page I should ignore the EDIT IN BRIZY on each post. that bit threw me as I thought it was indicating that I needed to edit indiv posts in Brizy, not WP
Also, there's no mention that all posts are set up as CATAGORIES and PAGES are not part of using a template unless you are embedding blog elements... finally, I must always make sure that when using POSTS that I need to set up the filters to include the category when embedding a POST element.
Once I understood the logic it all fell into place.
I just wish I didn't have to rely on a separate theme to give me the Post styling as its tricky to keep it in the same styling as the Brizy pages. - Like if I want to add two images side by side... Using the basic starter brizy Theme means that the gaps between each image are too big and WP doesnt give you an ability to control that unlike Brizy. So ill try with some other themes and see if I can get more control
Anyway, one less help request for you to respond to but might be useful for explaining to other noobs that failed to get the way things are done. Brizy is so logical but WP is illogical --- at least to mere mortals like myself!
thanks, love the builder (need more of it please) and have a lovely weekend.

Hi Andrew,
I'm glad you solved this little misunderstanding. Also, thanks for coming back with details.
Indeed, Brizy Templates is for extracting content from the WordPress editor into a Brizy page. So if you make a Template for posts you don't have to edit them with Brizy but create them directly in WordPress. If you edit your posts with Brizy directly then you no longer need a post template. But, working with templates will make the work easier.
