Changing desktop container width in Brizy (while using Astra)

    Hi,

I'm not familiar with the Astra and I'm not sure how it works. But, try setting the Brizy section to full-width and then changing the page template. If the template will be the theme template, then the content in Brizy should match the container that comes from the theme.

Unfortunately, this doesn't work. Brizy seems to have a default desktop container setting (whether you use the Brizy page template or a page template from Astra) that isn't controlled by the theme and it can not be set in Brizy.

    Let me try and explain.

Option1: If you set the Astra theme page template to full-width/stretched, Brizy goes to full width as it should. But this isn't what I want, I want the background to be full width, but the contents to be bound by a container width of my choice. Inside the Brizy editor, if the content is set at full-width, everything is full width (both background and contents). If the content is set at boxed 100% width, Brizy chooses some default container width and not the global container width from the theme that I can choose in the WP customizer. So this doesn't work. I'm not going to set margins/paddings for every section to mimic a container.

Option 2: If you set the Astra theme page template to full-width/contained, Brizy matches the container. While this works for content since Brizy matches the global container width set by the theme, background images/colors are contained by the global container also. This is not what I want. The background should be full width, but contents (text, images, etc.) should remain inside the global container.

Option 3: If you use the Brizy page template, it is the same scenario as Option 1. It's either full width or whatever the default container default width is in Brizy, and not the chosen global container width in the theme.

Option 4: Astra theme page template set to content boxed. Same as Option 2.

Option 5: Astra theme page template set to boxed. Same as Option 2.

Option 6: Astra theme page template to Customizer Setting. Same as Option 1.

Astra is one of the most popular themes for WP users that use a page builder. It is built with page builders in mind. There should be a way to do this. My guess is the issue is on Brizy's end, but I will reach out to WpAstra's support also.

    Hi,

sorry for not getting back to you sooner. We will discuss with the Astra authors and will see what can be done in this regard.

    Hi,

sorry for not getting back to you sooner. Have you tested this with Default Template? If you choose Default Template in a Brizy page, then the content will be framed in the Asta container: https://jmp.sh/2BJz2jl -> https://jmp.sh/cG8mHRn
