Instagram gallery, Sidebars with widgets
Hi again,
Anyway to display Instagram feeds in a gallery in the footer or part of a sidebar in a post in Brizy WP?
How do I create a template for a page with sidebars/widgets for setting up posts in Brizy WP? Any tutorials?
Thanks

Hi Andrew,
The Sidebar is a WordPress element and you have to create and set it from WordPress. In the Brizy you will only display the Sidebar using the Sidebar element. If inside the sidebar you will add the Instagram widget, it will be displayed in the Brizy page if you add it in the Sidebar.
Also, the Instagram feed, you can add using an external plugin that allows you to export the embed code or Shortcode and paste that code in the Brizy pages using the Shortcode or Embed element.
Best regards,
Sandra

Sandra, can you be a little more specific about exporting an embed code.....I have tried a few different plugins and put the embed code in and it's not working.

Hi Mackenie,
You have to upload an Instagram feed plugin in your dashboard that has the ability to export an embed code or a shortcode. After activating the plugin, configured and customization the Instagram feed, you have to generate and copy the embed code or shortcode of the feed. After this, add the embed code or shortcode on the page you want. For example, I'm using the Free version of the Smash Balloon Instagram feed. In my case, I copied the shortcode of the plugin https://jumpshare.com/v/PTCHFwKeAptDfO9uXElB and added it in the page using the Shortcode element. In the editor mode, the feed isn't loading https://jumpshare.com/v/SnmdnxC813LHdDwDnGoS but in preview, all is displayed fine https://jumpshare.com/v/X8SSvLmPs5Dz93gO0opF

I did all that and only my handle shows up with a load more button. (also your last two jump share links don't work)

Hi,
Could you try to check now the screenshots? I updated them.
Maybe the problem is in the way you configured the Instagram Feed plugin. Could you try to check if it is connected with your Instagram account?
Thanks!

yup account is connected - added the code to a shortcode box - it displays my IG handle (So it’s definitely connected) and a load more button (which doesn’t do anything) and a follow on IG button.

Did you try to add this shortcode in a non-Brizy page to check if it is displayed correctly? Also, could I ask what plugin did you use?
Thanks!

I don't have a non Brizy page, so no. Using Smash Ballon like you recommended

Yes, in the editor mode it will sow only the name, "Load more" and "Follow on Instagram", but in the preview, it should display the latest post. I used this shortcode [instagram-feed] and all is working fine, as you can see from the screenshots. If you can't see posts in the preview, this can be a problem with the Smash Ballon plugin, or in an incompatibility with Smash Baloon and another plugin from the dashboard, or a theme problem.
Best regards,
Sandra
