Brizy Core Theme messed up
I created a site with the Core theme using Unyson. I need to convert it to Brizy which is apparently impossible to do. So I re-installed the core theme and demo content from scratch and this is what I see...

Hi Ryan,
Is it just the destroyed header or all the pages? If you activate parent theme do you have the same problem?

Destroyed header is on all pages. Switching themes doesn't seem to do anything.

Hi,
I'm afraid we can't help you. Looks like you're using the theme header but Themefuse themes are no longer supported and this required time for inspection. Here we can only help you if you have any problems with Brizy.
However, I'll try to give you a hint. Looks like css files aren't loaded to your site. This could be related to the SSL certificate or could be blocked by one of your plugins. Also, please make sure all your Unyson extensions are installed.
Unfortunately, that's all I can do for now :/

Hey Ryan,
Why not recreate your header in Brizy ? you have a header builder there.
Here is a video that will walk you though the steps of adding a header and footer, how to make them global and how to add them on all the pages: https://youtu.be/UZjpvfqG6QU
Also, not sure you know, even if we don't offer support for our ThemeFuse themes no more, we do offer a 2 years of Brizy PRO for all our ThemeFuse customers as a token of appreciation for their support. This way you get not only The Core but all our themes designs as part of the Brizy layout packs. Check them all out here: https://www.brizy.io/blog/category/layouts/
(Actually i think The Core layout pack will be added in Brizy PRO in one of the next updates).
Let me know if you want to take advantage of the 2 years of Brizy PRO for free.
Cheers.

I already have Brizy Pro.
All I want to do is edit my ThemeFuse sites (12 of them) with Brizy but when I try to edit a single page with the Brizy editor the page is blank. Are you telling me I have to COMPLETELY REBUILD FROM SCRATCH every site I've ever built with ThemeFuse?

Hi Ryan,
If your pages(on the 12 sites) were created with Unyson builder then there is no way to edit them with Brizy. The technology is different and you basically have to re-create the pages. However, if you have a new site and have recently imported the demo (where the demo has already been re-created with Brizy), then you will be able to edit the page with Brizy.

I have the same problem. I have a site running on the Core.
We don't mind converting the pages to Brizy Pro pages.
However, in Appearance - themes - do we just leave "The Core" there that is the old version from 2018?
How do I over-ride whatever settings this may invoke?
I may not be expressing this in the best way.
Basically, I have a site running on the Core ver. 1.0.42.
How do I convert it to be fully Brizy?
Thanks.0 -
Hi,
You must first understand that Brizy is a page builder, not a WordPress theme. So you can leave The Core active, or switch to another theme, and re-create the pages with Brizy. You basically replace the builder with which the pages were created.

Thanks Alex. One more question though - is the Core no longer being supported? If that is the case, then switching themes to one that is supported makes sense, yes? We do have to use some kind of theme and my concern would be that the Core becomes outdated at some point such that it is no longer compatible with a wordpress (or other) update.
Do you guys have any recommended themes? I guess we don't need much from the theme given Brizy does headers and footers, and global styling.0 -
unfortunately, yes. The Core theme is no longer supported and will not be updated. If your site will be a simple one, for example a presentation one where you don't really need many options, then you can install a default WordPress theme or our Brizy Starter theme.
If you need something more complex with more options you can opt for a theme from this list: https://www.brizy.io/theme-partners/ They are tested with Brizy and work well.

I also have The Core theme installed on a client's website, which has not been updated for 3 years.
Is it possible to rebuild the site using the free Brizy plugin?

Hi,
You could try but items are limited in Brizy Free. It will be much easier with Brizy PRO. Some of The Core templates have already been re-created with Brizy, so all you need to do is install Brizy PRO and import the desired template: https://www.brizy.io/layouts/
btw: if you are a Themefuse customer, you can have Brizy PRO with a license for 2 years for free. We need your Themefuse username to check your purchase and after that, we will add Brizy PRO to your Brizy account.

Hi Pauline,
Thank you for contacting us.
1. Yes, you should rebuild all the pages with Brizy builder.
2. Please change the template from your page into default, see here: https://jmp.sh/o88FAaD
