    Hi Darren,

That might sound silly, but did you add your username and password to gmail? It's at the bottom of the configuration page and you probably haven't noticed it: https://jmp.sh/r8AsYZN

    Hi Alex

    I hadn't noticed that at all 😂.

I've updated that. The mail isn't getting sent though - I'm getting security alerts from google about the attempt instead. I presumably have to downgrade the security on my account for this to work?

yes, try to disable the Less secure app access - https://jmp.sh/J5eDsUO

Yeah didn't help. No security alert this time, but no mail either. Not in the spam filter either.

This is also a Bitnami Wordpress install, and I can't get debug logging working. #fun

EDIT: Then it did help. Works now... is a solution using the more secure interface to google in the works?

    Hi,

at the moment it only works with disabled Less secure app access. If you want to bypass this, you can simply add your email here and use the WordPress send method.

This might be a silly question but is the username and password just your regular email and password? As if you were logging in gmail?

    Hi Robert,

That's right. If you want to use the GMAL send method you need to add your regular Gmail login details.
