    Hi.

Can't edit any pages created with Brizy or try to edit the blog page with Brizy? Can you please confirm that you have the same problem with external plugins disabled?

Hi, I seem to have solved the issue. All my pages have been edited using brizy blocks.

I had taken a back up of the site using UpdraftPlus.

The same evening when i clicked on Edit with Brizy, it took me to the normal page and not the blocks but when i accessed the site the pages seem to be there. Happened with all pages.

So i deleted and reinstalled both brizy plugins, also deleted the Duplicate This plugin and that seemed to fix the problem. Have reinstalled the duplicate page plugin and now site seems to be working fine.

Let me know your thoughts on this too as i don't want this to repeat. Also, i am taking backup of the site using UpdraftPlus free edition. Is that ok?

    Thank You

    Hi,

It is difficult to suspect a cause now. This should be inspected. We have no reported issues regarding UpdraftPlus so it shouldn't be because of that.

Please next time, if you encounter this problem, send us your login details and we will inspect the problem. This is the only way to find the cause.

@Yvania Bartholomeusz - What has happened in the meantime? Did you do any updates? Did you install any plugins? By the way, was the Blog page created with Brizy Template?

I updated both Brizy plugins . I followed the Brizy tutorial to create my blog page. I'm an absolute beginner at this so I am struggling quite a bit. I thought I was doing ok until I hit this wall. If I try to edit with Brizy the Blog Page it says 'something went wrong'.

Are you trying to edit the page that is set as a blog page in WordPress settings? If so, you won't be able to do that. You can't edit a WordPress archive page with Brizy.

If you would like to have a blog page editable with Brizy, you should choose one of the following solutions:

1 - Create a page for Blog and edit it with Brizy. Inside this page add the Posts element. This element extract posts from a certain category. To display all posts, you need to set an extra category for all posts and then to select it for Posts elements. https://jmp.sh/2in2IzP Here you can find more details about Posts element - https://www.brizy.io/blog/brizy-pro-posts-element-2/

2 - Create a page for Blog but don't edit it with Brizy and don't activate the plugin for this page. Set this page as posts page in Settings -> Reading. After this go to Brizy -> Templates and create a new template for the Blog page. Here you have set a display condition for Blog/Post page and then Edit with Brizy. Inside it, you can add the Archive item and display the posts as desired. Please refer to this video tutorial: https://youtu.be/cWJEetL4f-s

    What method did you use?
