    Hi,

I'm not sure I understand. From what I see on this page flbrief.com you have a grid with external posts. Each of them is linked to an external source. You will not be able to do this with Brizy Posts element because it only returns WordPress posts. And it does this dynamically. Therefore all posts will be linked to the post page in WordPress.

You will need to create this grid manually using the image elements, and text. Unfortunately, you cannot indicate the source of the image with the link so you will have to upload it through WordPress Media.

btw: thanks for these kind words.

Hi...I'm bringing this issue up again since I'm once again trying to create a news aggregation site that doesn't seem to work well with Brizy.

If you look at this beta version, it shows what the site should look like. Unfortunately, that page was done with a non-Brizy page builder (Elementor). I really prefer doing everything with Brizy, but when I try to recreate the page with Brizy, the images don't show. (See HERE).

The issue may be due to my use of a plugin called Featured Image from URL. That plugin allows Wordpress to set a featured image based on a URL, rather than downloading it to the site--thereby saving a ton of disc space.

While I'm very happy with the non-Brizy page, I would MUCH prefer to work with Brizy to further develop this site. Can you confirm that the issue is the Featured Image from URL plugin, and if so, is there a workaround?

Thanks for your consideration...keep up the great work.

    Hi Greg,

    Thank you for contacting us.

I tried to reproduce the issue, but it appears to be working at my end.
Here is my site's blog archive—https://server001.xyz/gentest/blog/
This is using only Brizy, Brizy Pro, and the Featured Image from URL (FIFU) plugin.

For this to work, in the archive and single post template, please set the image to Original—https://prnt.sc/HMDV3KjsNkEn

In the post, ensure that the full URL is defined—https://prnt.sc/jc_sfh1JCdOO

If you still encounter issues, it may be necessary to conduct further troubleshooting. Possible conflicts with your plugins or theme could be causing the problem.

If you have any further questions, please let us know.

    Best regards,
    Ariel H.

Thank you for your very thorough reply. It was helpful.

One issue I'm still having pertains to the last suggestion you made: "ensure that the full URL is defined..."

    In my site, this is how the feature image in a post looks;

The image URL is in the box below, not in the one above. When I manually copy and past that URL into the one above as in your suggestion, it works. However, I cannot find a setting  in the Featured Image from URL plugin that automatically does that. Am I missing something?

Again...I really appreciate your assistance. You've been great!

    Hi Gregg,

Thank you for keeping in touch.

Unfortunately, the current plugin does not provide an automated way to capture the URL of your featured image. You would need to manually input the URL.  There may be other similar plugins available that could better meet your needs. I encourage you to explore alternative options and experiment with different plugins to find the one that works best for you.

    Best regards,
    Ariel H.
