Post Content Formatting Incorrectly
I created a template in Brizy for my posts.
I have done two options but neither works well.
- When I use the Post Content block on Brizy, everything shows up fine but only H1 and H2 words are formatted correctly. All other headers, links, italic or any other kind of formatting are not there.
- When I put a text box and type #PostContent everything shows up fine but there are extra spaces between every line and it looks absurd.
Not sure which is worse, thanks!

Hi Alexander,
can you please confirm you have the latest Brizy versions - Free 1.0.122 and PRO 0.0.39? The problems reported seem old and have already been fixed.

I have the same issue

Hi Nick,
this has already been fixed and will be included in one of the next updates. Sorry for the created inconvenience.

When can we expect the next update? I'm having formatting issues too. Strong/Bold text and links are not even visible in the text content on the frontpage.

Also, trying another hack by adding a standard Text element and then use the #Post_Content shortcode finally shows formatting, but leaves at least double spaces between paragraphs and some bullet points on the WP Gallery image block 🤔

Hi John,
we have added an element that solves these problems. Try to use it. https://jmp.sh/HKxLG3M

Right, yes. That's the one I was talking about. It's not working well. Using the Post Content element leaves out all formatting. I lose the bold text and the links wont display.

Hi John,
Post Content solves the problem with the spaces between paragraphs but it has other formatting problems like the ones you mentioned(bold, links, italic). Italic, already working. Bold has been fixed and will be included in the next update. Regarding the links - I will send a new notification to the developers.

Glad to see this is in the pipeline. Links are really important in blog posts! Also when embedding videos in a blog post, it strips away the video to be just a link to the video that can't be clicked.

Hi Kate,
If you added video to the post using embed code then it should work fine. If that doesn't happen on your website, please make sure you have the latest Brizy versions - Free 1.0.124 and PRO 0.0.41

Hi,
I have the latest Brizy versions free and PRO.
I have the same problem, post content element removes formatting like bold, italic and colored text I added inside my post.
And the #post_content that I can get from text element has a big problem with white spaces.
Any solution or workaround? It is critical0 -
Hi,
There is no workaround for these problems. We just have to fix them and we are already doing this. Sorry for the created inconvenience.

Hi,
Initially we chose Brizy because they made building a website, hassle-free. Which it was, initially. Now it seems to have many bugs. It took us 3 days to be able to post a blog with the brizy template because it was not respecting the style of fonts, sizes, pictures and it looked just weird. We found a way to fix it, but it's really complicated and no hassle-free at all.
As much as we liked Brizy in the beginning, it's starting to give us a headache.....It shouldn't take 3 days to do something that it is supposed to take 10mins...
We like brizy and we are not ready to give up on it yet, so we are giving it another try....
We are using OceanWP Version: 1.8.3
Brizy - Version 1.0.126
Brizy Pro - Version 0.0.41Thanks for your help!!!!

Hi,
Thanks for the feedback. I agree and we are aware that the Post Content element requires some fixing. Some of them have already been done and are waiting to be included in a new update.

Hi Brizy,
Any update when this next update is coming? I can see this CSS is causing a lot of the issues. Can we can add something to the block to strip out the formatting?
Thanks
Kate
We could really use formatting in our posts without the workarounds!0 -
Hi Kate,
We are now preparing a major update that will include dynamic content changes and improvements. It is already available in BETA. Here you can find more out: https://www.facebook.com/groups/brizy/permalink/720584092038799/

I managed to grab a screen capture of the strange issues I'm having with both Post Content Element and the #PostContent tag. Perhaps it will help convey some of the issues we're experiencing. This is on a custom post type and I removed linking, no fix. I then removed all bullet points and formatting and it worked so there is definitely something wrong when using Post Content that has formatting.

Hi,
Does the same thing happen with a standard WordPress post or just this custom post? Is this a custom post that comes with the theme?

I did get this resolved. I used the clear formatting button on all content and that fixed the issue. Afterwards I was able to re-add my bullet points and that worked as well. I think there was bad characters from when the content was pasted in. Thanks!

I'm glad to hear that. Let us know if you need anything else.

I just updated to the newest 2.0.2 updated and unfortunately the issue still persist. Currently trying to display on a simple page template and you can see from my live test page that both #postcontent and the post content element have issues
-
Text Element with #PostContent
Formatting is expected but with really large spaces between every block
-
Post Content Element
Content is spaced properly but formatting is all stripped, not headers and basic formatting stripped from gravity form shortcode.
Can you please provide a workaround until an update can be patched because I need my page up this week. Thank you for the support.

Text Element with #PostContent
-
I had a word with devs and I confirm that there are still some style issues with the Post Content element. I understand that you have a deadline, but I do not have a workaround for this. The only solution is to use custom CSS if you are familiar with it.

Same problem here. Post content wordpress feature is not formatting correctly. Any hints here?

Hi,
It is an old post and many things have already been fixed. Can you please confirm you have this issue with the latest Brizy versions - Free 2.1.5 and PRO 2.1.3? Also, please give us more details about the formatting issues you have. A screenshot or image will help a lot. Thanks.

I'm having trouble with the "Post Content" item. Does not show paragraph breaks. I have the latest versions of Brizy installed (Brizy - Free 2.1.5 and PRO 2.1.3), but when I publish content with paragraph breaks it shows a single paragraph with all the content linked, without breaks, it is as if it does not recognize the tags " <p> ". Also try with "#post_content" but the result is not as expected according to the available configuration possibilities of the element.
Will it open any alternative solution?

Hi,
This problem has been fixed before but I was just informed that in the last update something influenced the behavior of the break lines in Brizy Templates. We will fix it asap. Sorry for the created inconvenience.
