Global Colors
Please publish a clear list of the assignments used for the 8 global color swatches. I have managed to find a few videos that say what a couple of them are, but this should not be a secret.
A search here shows a video by JP that works with swatch #7 as the default text color. Great. What about the other ones?
I"m just asking for a simple list: #1= xxx, ...#8=xxx.
It would be even better if you provided tooltips on the swatches!
Thanks

Hi Jack,
there is no list of the assignments. You can create your own color system and organize yourself.
I can give you an example of a color system that we used in Kit2:

Thanks for the response.
The #2 and #7 assignments look like what I have seen in videos. You indicate that these are for Kit2. Are the assignments of the swatches different for Kit1?
Your reply implies that I can change to which type of element any particular swatch applies. How would I do that? For that matter, other than separating some of the pairings - such as having different colors apply to buttons vs. icons- why would I want to?
The assignments you show, as a list, are:
#1 - Hover states
#2 - Titles in light version
#3 - Buttons, Icons, Links
#4 - Highlights and backgrounds
#5 - Alternate Highlights and Backgrounds (what does Alternate imply?)
#6 - Paragraph text on dark versions, backgrounds on light versions
#7 - Paragraph text on light versions (is it also backgrounds on dark versions?)
#8 - Everything that is white (realistically it's everything that is "this" color - but what does that apply to?)
Are these universal?
Thanks,
Jack

Hi Jack,
yes, the Kit1 has a different color scheme. But, I advise you not to focus on it, because from now we will use the kit2 scheme only. We still have discussions about kit1. We will recreate it or delete.
So, you can create your own color scheme only if you create the page manually, element by element. In this case, you can decide for yourself what color #1 or color #2 represents.
If you use our pre-made blocks you will have to use the color scheme I sent before.
#1 - Hover states,
#2 - Titles in light version
.......
and so on.
If you want to change this you have to play with the colors. Let's say you have:
#1 - purple - Hover states,
#2 - black -Titles in light version
if you want to have the titles purple and black on hover you have to change the colors. The order of the elements remains the same. Therefore you will have:
#1 - black - Hover states,
#2 - purple -Titles in light version
Hope this helps.

Hi Alex,
Thanks for the guidance.
I think in some ways you misunderstood my original question. I was asking about what aspect of the page is defined by each swatch - as #1 is always Hover states, etc. You've provided the answer to that. I could not find any documentation that had that list.
If I assign a different set of colors to the swatches, is there a way to save the scheme with a name I can come back to for other sites? I'm asking this for both Cloud and WP. If the scheme I start with is, for example, Overpass and I change the color assignments while working on Site1, do the assignments carryover to Site2? Could I name the scheme something else, preferably before the reassignment, so I can keep the default Overpass? For example SchemeJack1?

Hi Jack,
At the moment, you cannot save a custom color scheme/palette. But, we have this feature on our to-do list, so in the future, you will be able to do that.

Do you have an update on when the Custom Color pallet option will be available?
I'm currently starting a new site and it's the first time I've used Brizy. I have specific colors and these will be branding colors in my logo and going through to my social media sites which will then be all consistent with my website/blog color scheme.

Hi Liz,
If you have one color scheme on the site, you can work with the Brizy Default palette. Customize it and then use it on any other page: https://jmp.sh/ijhbVFJ The new color structure will be available throughout the site.

Liz,
I was signing in to respond when Alex's response came in.
Essentially you can go with one of the Brizy schemes and edit each of the colors. That edit will continue to be associated with the particular website, but won't be portable to others without redefining them again. That's what my request for global new scheme naming was about.
You should be good to go with just redefining each of the color swatches to match your need.

Thank you. I'm so very grateful for this clarification. Total newbie here, and I'm currently starting the steep learning curve on familiarising myself on the amazing Brizy and the new terminology.
The image above was convenient to see also. Sometimes it takes forever and many videos to stumble across useful sh*t for your own purposes.
I even made myself a little hard-copy very rough & ready, reference chart until I remember these allocations.
Cheers
Liz

Hi Liz,
that looks creative :))
You should know that you can develop your own work scheme for the colors in Brizy. We described above the scheme that we used for Kit2. So, if you plan to use the Brizy pre-made blocks, you are guided by this structure. If all the blocks are created by you from scratch, you could develop a new working order of colors.
