Critical Errors When Updating Plugins
Hi,
This is the second time that critical errors have happened when updating to the latest version. I had to go into recovery mode.
WordPress version 5.3.2
Current theme: SEOWP (version 1.9.3)
Current plugin: Brizy Pro (version 0.0.35)
PHP version 7.2.26

Hi,
Please try deleting the Brizy plugins from the Plugins section of your Dashboard and then try to install it again manually. Also clear all the cache if you have a cache plugin.

Hi, Alex and Albert did this help? I am experiencing the same issues with the capability with PHP version and Brizy PRO. I deactivated my Brizy PRO and downgraded my PHP version to 7.0 with Brizy Free 1.0.118. So far no error but saved some features that converted into the free Brizy (the PRO features obviously were removed).

Hi La'tisha, I downloaded the Brizy and Pro plugins from the Brizy website and uploaded them. You could be right about the PHP issue. I installed many other plugins the usual way and only had critical error issues with Brizy. I had to use Brizy Cloud as a stop-gap measure but of course could not tap into the functionality of any plugin. Brizy is still buggy and stress inducing.

I thank you, hope we can get the update.

Hi,
do you guys all have the same error message as on Albert website: "this plugin failed to load properly and is paused during recovery mode"? Does a manual update help?

My message (upon Pro update)
"There has been a critical error on your website."

...critical error on your website.
Learn more about debugging in WordPress.
I already had Brizy Pro and the latest failed to update and my lifetime license was removed automatically. However the Error message happened after I was updated to PHP 7.3.
I had to drop to php 7.0 deactivate B.Pro and delete it. Upload the latest from Brizy Pro download and upload on the 2nd attempt the latest Pro version along with PHP 7.0 worked.

That's strange because we don't have any reported issues with the latest PHP version. Also, the message from the dashboard "There has been a critical error on your website." is a very general error. It doesn't tell us it's Brizy or Wordpress or any other plugins issue. This should be inspected to see the exact cause.
@ La'tisha Bandele - please let us know next time you encounter this issue and we will inspect it on your website directly.
@ Nora Tofighbakhsh - did you also downgrade the PHP to 7.0 to fix the problem?
