Mobile video header
I'm using a Vimeo link to loop a short video in the background of my header on desktop and it works well. When I switch to mobile view there is no option to enter a video link.
Are video backgrounds supported on mobile? If so, how do enter the Vimeo link in the same way I do on desktop?
Desktop vs mobile:
Thanks in advance!

Hi Jack,
unfortunately, you can't have a background video on mobile.
Due to the fact that it takes a lot of memory and resources to display the video on mobile devices, some devices and browsers don't even support it, so that's why we have the Replacement Image option that will load instead of the video background on the mobile devices.

hi alex
you cannot provide this function with an on / off switch.
so every user can decide for themselves.
a separate URL window per device would be possible.
I could link the appropriate resolution for the mobile / tablet with it.

Hi Roberto,
I could add this as a feature request and if there are more requests, we will consider this for future implementation.

Hi Alex:
Is possible to use plugins like Slider Revolution to solve this on Brizy. Is Brizy compatible with SR?

Hi,
The Revolution Slider works with Brizy, but I'm not sure if they have a working solution for mobile video. You can give it a try.

I would also vote for the video header on mobile/tablet device :) Already getting comments that the video is missing and I would love to provide it.... :)

Hi Alex,
I also need this feature please ! It would be really nice to have the choice in the editor !

Hi,
I will add this note to the list of feature requests.

Thanks Alex ! You have an idea of when this request will be ready ?
1 -
Hi,
unfortunately, no. There is no clear deadline for this.

I desperately need this too. Just switched over from Wix and this was a simple toggle. PLEASE, we're in the world of 5G now, I don't understand why this is missing!
Have you changed your mind - can I change your mind?

Hello Ross,
Thank you for your message!
Regarding what you said, we understand where is this coming from but as we said, right now there is no ETA regarding this but we will look into it and as soon as possible we will give an update and implement this. Right now, we are dealing with other issues that need fix. We are deeply sorry for the inconvenience and thank you very much for understanding!
Have a nice day and kind regards,
Doina

I don't want to go back to Elementor either, but I guess I'll just have to find another solution until Brizy has had time to catch up :(

Hi Ross,
I will let our developers know about this and maybe make it a priority! Thank you for sticking with us and choosing Brizy!
Best regards,
Doina

Hey guys. I just ran into same situation here.
Just switched to Brizy from Elementor, to try it out for a couple of projects. I was really enjoying it, obviously you will have a few cons, but thus far I was actually preferring this new platform.
Now as I was testing the mobile, I was surprised to find this issue, and for me it really makes no sense.
I understand the memory argument but really it boils down to investment from the platform.
This is a simple feature that makes all difference in our projects. Animating the background is key for us developers and designers. Im really sad because I will have to start over on both project because of this.
I will have to throw away this 99$, so Im not too happy right now.
This really ended my day...

Same boat Arthur – invested a lot of time in a site and then found this out as a finishing touch. Didn't have a good day either. You can try and throw a WP plugin at it, but I couldn't get the result I wanted. I tried with using a video element in a block but again is was a nope. Or replace the video with a GIF - which is obviously not amazing. Shame really, you'd think it would be a simple fix, as Brizy are not even hosting the films?

Hi Ross,
Yes, at the moment you cannot add a mobile video header or a background video in mobile. Also, you can upload a video in your builder, please see here, therefore the maximum upload file is 2 MB. Regarding these 2 feature requests please, accept my sincere apologies for the difficulties you faced, but our developer team is doing its best to release them as soon as possible.
Best regards, Nelea.

Hi Alex,
I would like to see an option for video on mobile, please.
Thank you,
Nick1 -
It’s 2022, we’re living in a 5G world. Mobile video is everywhere but not on Brizy :(

Please guys, prioritize this.
One of the reasons for choosing Brizy is the creation of beautiful video banners. Today more than 90% of access is mobile, so not having this option for mobile is making it unusable.Thank you.

I wrote a comment earlier and deleted it. There was another topic. I added the below code and it worked :) I'm happy again!
.brz-bg-video {
display: block!important;

Where is the support for this - another year has gone by?

Hi Ross,
Thank you for keeping in touch.
At this time, we do not have a timeline for when this feature will be available. Our team is actively working on developing new features and improving Brizy, but the development process can be unpredictable.
Until further notice, you can try the CSS suggested by a community member above. This temporary solution has already been tested to work by many of our users.
This is demonstrated on this screencast - https://youtu.be/T1wOFT3yQ6gSorry for the inconvenience.
Kind regards,
