Photos are blurry
Hi, when I create a photo gallery, the photos in Brizy look sharp. But when they are published, they are blurred. Do you have any idea?
Here 2 screenshots: https://my.pcloud.com/publink/show?code=kZmj7ekZVk4oJqAa3VjlxauDUgplwmW2E7lX
Kind regards

Hi Annette,
Indeed, the blur is too visible. I have opened a ticket for you so please send the login details there and we will look into it. Thanks.

Same issue for me. The only difference is that the blurry photos appear in the lightbox. The images look fine when viewed in the grid but clicking an image to bring it up in the lightbox lowers the quality of the image seen. This can been seen on my site www.tedonporter.com.

Hi Tedon,
I added your notice to the issue.

Hi Alex,
I have a very similar issue as well. This happened since inception but I never had the time to send in my request until now.
Until this day, I am not sure if this issue is due to a Wordpress or Brizy image quality compression limitation. I have heard that Wordpress by default compress image quality to 75. Maybe that could be the cause?
Please review the four images I have in this folder: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1BNacD27S60xBE-rUpi4Mk-Ih_t4H5OVX
Now, compare the first two images (1-2) with my home page: https://cubitize.com and the last two images (3-4) with this page: https://cubitize.com/avatars. Notice how blurry these images appear on my website. The most striking one is #4. Image #4 is very sharp and clear but when you compare it to the one on https://cubitize.com/avatars, look how blurry it is.
I am not sure what is going here. I really need these images to look sharp and clear like the originals in the google shared folder above.
Please help as to ascertain whether this issue is Brizy or Wordpress related.Thank you so much for your assistance!

Hi Joseph,
There is such a discussion that due to compression, the image may look a bit blurry. But, honestly, in your case, I don't see a big difference: https://jmp.sh/kE6RZ5K -> https://jmp.sh/ay4d8Xb
Certainly, we will have changes in what concerns image compression, but at the moment I do not have a quick solution for you.

Is anybody here from Brizy still taking care of that problem?

Hi,
I created a ticket for you long ago(ticket id 6340). Didn't you get any updates there?
I just noticed that your ticket was closed due to inactivity (this happens automatically after a while). Please re-open it and my colleague Natalia will take care of that.

I really like Brizy, but this is unacceptable. You can't publish your website with blurred pictures. The same problem exists in Brizy Cloud, by the way. Everything is OK in the backend and blurred in the frontend. After 2 months of waiting I am forced to use another pagebuilder. I hope you finally solve the problem.

Annette and whoever had problems with blurry pictures, i was about to scrap Brizy all together but noticed troubleshoot link and it did fix it.
All i did: from the wp dashboard i went "visit your site", once there i clicked on the "troubleshoot" button on the top tools panel, went through all the prompts there and it did identify what plugin was messing with the pic quality. Identified the troublemaker and removed it... VIOLA!
Hope it will work for you too

We are having the same problem. We have screenshots and logos with text on them, so the blur is very visible. Is there still no solution to this?

Hi @Annette Jakobi,
I have now checked your site and the images no longer seem blurred: https://jmp.sh/nIyYReX Did you do anything about it?
@Dominik Johannes Enzenauer
Please send your login details in a private request along with the details and how to reproduce it and we will look into it.

We have the same problem! All imgages on brizy elemts are rendered blurry... The originals are in 4k so this should't be the problem. We really need a fix for this!

Hi,
Yes, this is a known issue and is on our to-do list. We are working on a new module for Brizy WordPress that will improve the quality of the images used in Brizy editor.
Sorry for the created inconvenience.

Thanks, is there a timeframe?
This problem exists for several month now and is annoing not only us agencies but also and most important our customers!0 -
Unfortunately, we do not have an ETA for this :/

Is there any update on this?
I'm quite amazed that you're prioritizing superfluous features such as "Stories" over something that is critical to professional design such as image quality. As many have stated, this is a huge issue for professionals who need to deliver a quality product. So if a client says "we need the images to not be blurry" - we're expected to reply with "sorry, that's just the Brizy way"?
Right now, its impossible to have a logo look clean and crisp using Brizy, since its overly compressed. How hard is it to just put a "disable image compression" toggle in the brizy settings?
Overall, images with Brizy look decent to the untrained eye - but things that require definition such as logos look terrible. I can't imagine any photographer or designer being happy using Brizy to showcase their work - and I would image many have ended up with other builders because of this.
Im glad you are working on a solution - but I just dont understand why there is such a huge delay on something so essential, while you're churning out new features and design packs.
Thanks for listening...

Andy, I understand your frustration, please understand that if it was a small thing to fix, it would have been fixed already. We have this reported a couple of times I'd say.
The issues are created, my colleagues are looking into it. As soon as we have a fix you'll have it as well. We'll keep you in the loop in this thread.0 -
Hey Dimi, thanks for the note.
I totally understand that these things can be surprisingly complex to fix, especially when your fundamental architecture is set up a certain way. Which leads me to question why aggressive image compression was ever implemented to begin with, especially since Brizy comes with Shortpixel integration..?
I'm not a developer, so I don't understand the mechanics of how this stuff works, but when it comes to priorities, I would think that this deserves to be at the top of the stack - especially when you consider the other threads of WP pros/devs hopping ship to other builders due to this issue alone.
In my case it's not a dealbreaker - but I want Brizy to thrive and be the best it can be, and this is a big thorn in the side that's definitely turning a lot of people off..
Thanks for hearing me out. :)

Are you serious ? Images look extremely blurry and they are just icons. So you yes it is a known problem and you cannot fix it, right ?
0 -
Not really. We can fix this, but it's a longer process. Moreover, there is a blur but it is not extremely. Probably in your case, there is a different cause. You can leave a link to your site here and we'll take a look.

It's really hard to believe. It is now December 2022.
3 years ago I asked you to solve this problem.
Pictures are still blurry!!!
It is very hard for me to stay friendly.Dear Brizy team, don't you understand that a website lives from pictures, from clear pictures?
When are you going to solve this? In 2030?

Hi Annette,
The image blurring issue was fixed a year ago. Please have a look at this page for the quality of images you can have on a Brizy website. https://brizytest.online/image-quality
You can read more about how the issue can be fixed here https://www.facebook.com/groups/brizy/posts/1073391526758052/ If you are not a member of the Brizy Facebook community, please make a request and we will approve your request.

Thank you for your answer.
Of course, you can say that the problem is solved. As you can see for yourself, nevertheless, the images are blurred.
