First, you need to create a new page. Then, insert a title and select 'Edit with Brizy' at the top.

A menu will come up in the center of your screen with a '+' in the center. Click on that. This will give you access to the templates & blocks.

Select the top tab to the left 'Layouts'.

If you have the free version, go to the bottom of the left sidebar and click 'Free' to access the free templates (5).

    I'm a new Brizy user 2.

    Hope this helps you out.

    Thanks, Claudia for sharing.

    Please I have questions.

    1. Is it safe to use the Brizy starter theme on the latest version of WordPress?

    2. Is this theme being supported presently? I can see the last update on it was 14 months ago.

    3. Is it safe to say this starter theme is enough to build any shape and size of websites when paired with the Brizy Pro WordPress plugin?

    4. Can we download and install this Starter theme from within the WordPress theme library. If not when should we expect to have it on WordPress theme library?

I would really appreciate answers from the Brizy team.

    Thank you.

    Hi,

    Brizy team here.

    1. Yes.

    2.  The theme is very basic and has no additional options, so in fact, there is not much to support.

    3. This theme has no options. You only use it because WordPress forces you to have a theme installed. All items on the site will be added with Brizy Builder.

    4. Nope, it can only be downloaded from Github.

Thank you Alex for the quick response.

It's great to know that I really don't need a bloated, expensive, and redundant theme to build almost any type of WordPress website with Brizy.

Brizy Starter Theme to the rescue.

    Thanks.

    Regards.

    Hi,

yes, that's the idea Brizy is pursuing. Over time, it will be possible to create even more complex things with Brizy. You can see our roadmap for an overview: https://trello.com/b/3OtE8BCR/brizy-wordpress-public-roadmap

    Hi Alex,

How do we Whitelabel it as well?

    Hi,

Whitelabel for the theme? There is no such option. You can manually edit all the Brizy words in the theme. There are no specific functions there so it should not be difficult.

    Hey,

Yup! as we use pro making sure every thing is in uniform with the whitelabel. Will you not be updating the theme with any security patches or code updates like php8 or so on?

Only if WP stopped forcing us to use a theme and all the editor becomes more like a website builder allowing to add on and detach any addons like extra Layout, Kits etc that is not needed which will help on less callouts and blots being saying this since years.

How about using WP Hide and Security plugin if you didn't want to it edit manually? It does loads more but could be an option...?

    Hi,

@Jay Patel: if compatibility updates need to be done, then we will, but there will be no regular updates for the Starter Theme.

@Claudia Leslie thanks for sharing. I'm not sure what this plugin does, but I hope your suggestion will help others.

    Hi Alex,

This is maybe a stupid question: Is it possible to have a child theme for the Brizy Starter Theme?
I've included some additional code (copy & paste) in the functions.php and I don't want to get this erased when updating the Brizy Starter Theme.

Thank you very much in advance
    Michael

    Hi Michael,

sure, here's an article on how you can create one: https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-themes/how-to-create-a-wordpress-child-theme-video/
