Improve user experience by editing small items

On many occasions I have to see the result of the changes I make in the size of a text or the size and height of an image, for example ...

When you touch the item, the pop-up window appears just above the item, completely covering it.
I can't see what I do and waste more time.

It would be much better to be able to drag the pop-up editing window to another place that I decide.
This way I could observe the changes while doing the editing
