    Hi Linda,
I'm a customer like you so perhaps I don't understand your question.

But I've been cutting & pasting text into text elements for months now. I think it was a standard feature for a very long time.

as at 6th Jan 2019. It can be a little flakey as it depends on how you do it & what you are targeting. Maybe it is different with different browsers on Mac &/or Windows.

In Chrome running on Windows. I've found that :-
    1. Cut from external doc & Paster into TEXT element works great.
    2. Highlight text in the text element, Hit Contrl+C & paste anywhere worked well.
    3. Highlight Text in the Text element, Right-Click to use the Text elements child menu to copy the Highlighted text. It doesn't work. The menu copies all the text in the Text element. (Which is handy as it saves highlighting, so long as you know that is what it does.  )

    4. Pasting into the other elements is hit n miss. For most, it doesn't make sense to paste text into them. For the Accordion you can paste text into the body (if it contains a text element)  but you can't paste into the Accodtian label which I agree is annoying.

    Hope that helps you.

You just need to CTRL + C the text, select the text element and CTRL + V to paste.

    Hi Dimi,

That does indeed work in text elements, but as David mentioned above, Pasting does not work in others. Specifically (for me), the fact that I can't paste into an Accordion label (but I CAN paste into an Accordion body) is...concerning.

I have a FAQ section with 20 or so questions & answers that I want to put in a Brizy page. It seems that my options are:

    1. Retype all the questions (can paste the answers)
    or
    2. Use a regular text element and have everything visible.

Seems that "pasting text into an element that has text" is an ability that should just be there. Am I missing something here?

That is known issue regarding the copy pasting titles in the Tab or Accordion elements, it is on the list for a fix in one of the future updates. Thanks for your patience.

Can I bring this post back to life? Been using Brizy now for all my sites for months and I am constantly running in to problems with copy and paste, whether it be right click or Ctrl C Ctrl P. Some times the text does not stay in the same format as copied and sometimes spaces are removed. It is very random how it puts the text in then I have to spend hours formatting the text after i've just spent hours in word making the document.

    Pic for example

What I recommend is you create a global typography style from here:

and after you copy paste the text you switch the style to the global one from here:

This will not only fix your problem instantly, but will also let you change the style later on across all your elements with the same global style.

    Hope this helps.

copy and paste from a word doc into the text box, only goes on half page and you have to manipualte it to fill the full are with text. this is the absolute bane on my life

    Hi, Paul,

You can try using the CTRl+C to copy the text from the .docx file and CTRL+V to paste the text from .docx. Also, I recommend to copy and paste only one paragraph in one text element. When you will paste the paragraph in the text element, make sure that you have the right style for the paragraph. When you paste a text, it can have the Custom or Subtitle style, therefore, I recommend to check this and set with the right text style.

    Best regards,
    Sandra

It is improving pasting into the Accordion & similar was a big win.

One thing I miss about Windows Live Writer was its blog post simplicity. You could paste an entire Word Document complete with images. It would pull the information from the clipboard & tag it with the appropriate HTML.

This was a huge time saver. Allowing you to tap into the advanced features of word, including the Document approval process, signoff, spell & Grammar checker.

As much as I'd love to see Brizy improve its capability in this area. I'd think there are more important features.
    For Example.

    • Multi-Level hierarchical lists
    • Archives pages with a Flexbox option
    • Better integration with Custom Content Types on Archive Pages
    • Exposing filters for end-users on Archive Pages.

It took me ages to figure out that I couldn't just simply copy a bulleted list item and paste it into a new one. The only way it works is Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V, the right click copy and paste does the entire block.  Can you PLEASE create TWO right click context menu options, one for local selection and one for entire block. A lot of users do not know keyboard commands or would (like me) expect them to be interchangeable in functionality as the context copy/paste, and would not expect them to work differently. It will be impossible for me to roll out Brizy with this very basic functionality working like this. You do not take something that works one way in 99.9% of things in existence and decide to change how it works and limit the functionality to "knowing the quirks".

I honestly can't believe that something so simple is so hard.  I just spent the better part of 30 minutes just trying to copy and paste a single bulleted item. That is not "Brizy" by any means. Also, I am unable to add another bulleted set in a text control further down the page, the icon is completely missing from the editor.

    Hi,

Could you please check if you have the latest updates for Brizy Free 2.1.5 and Brizy Pro 2.1.3? Just now I checked the Copy Paste right-click and all seems to work fine. See here.

    Thanks!

    Best regards,
    Sandra

In your example, this is precisely the behavior that is driving me crazy :P

    1. item 1
    2. item 2
    3. item 3

Please try to copy item number 3 above and paste it below, like this:

    1. item 1
    2. item 2
    3. item 3
    4. item 3
