Reverted to a backup and everything lost

We use WPEngine for hosting and simply reverted to a previous days backup as we had some site changes we needed to restore.  We've never had a problem doing this with any theme or page builder on any site through WPE. 

When we did that the following happened and we cannot figure out what broke or why, and or how to fix brizy builder.  

1. All fonts, colors, and styles were lost
2. The brizy pro plugin license was removed which then removed all pro features 
3. now all brizy settings are being converted into UPPERCASE which then causes links to break on the site  (See here https://www.loom.com/share/ff208505e5624b7394da3ed535993b84)
4. Sometimes we see a duplicate brizy builder sidebar
5. Lots of other small quirks
