Custom Asset Link issue

I created a custom asset category called Venues and added a link detail called Map Link.

When I try to connect the Map Link to a button or to hyperlink some text it does not let me choose that detail, it defaults to the category instead.

  Hi,

  Is this a page or a post from the "Venues" category? Unfortunately, it isn't possible to display the "map link" that is an attribute for the "Venues" posts (it can be displayed only inside the "Venues" posts), in the pages if between the pages and "Venues" aren't a reference.

  Ok I see.

  Is there any way that I can create a button on my single custom assets page that links to a URL field under a reference archive custom asset? Any workaround that you can think of?

  Hi,

  You can try to create and add a "Reference" field to connect the single custom assets page with the archive custom assets. In this article, you can find more details about all fields you can use inside the Custom Assets, including the Reference one.

  Yes I’ve already done this. I’ve referenced the Events single asset to the Venue archive asset but i can’t pull the link field under the Venue asset into the Events page template i created. The other fields come through it is only the link field that is the problem.

  Hi,

  In the Events Single post when you try to add the link from the Venue archive, can be displayed the "Venue" attribute but in the preview will be added the right value and link. See here.
