Linking a page/menu to a Brizy template
Hi Support,
Let's hope you can help me here.
- I created a nice page using Brizy Page Builder (I called it Courses Reviews)
- I create a Brizy template called Courses Reviews Listing (i want to show all the listing of my latest 6 reviews)
When I click on the menu called Course Review, it shows the Courses Reviews page that I created in step 1 and not the template that I created. I know I am missing something here. I watchedd all of your videos and more, still cannot find why am I supposed to create step 2.
FYI, I am using the Pro version.
Thank you.

Hi,
The Brizy template and the Page are 2 different elements. The Brizy template is something like an abstract element. It isn't a page or a post and therefore you can't find it in the page or post list or in the Menu list. The list can display only static elements like posts, pages etc. The Brizy template is something like a sketch you create for page/post, category or posts and design it how do you want to display that page. In the Brizy template is recommended to use dynamic elements like Posts element, Post Content, Post title, Featured image and so on. Therefore, the template will get all the dynamic information it needs from the page/post where it is applied and will show you that information in the structure you set up in the Brizy template.
Let us know if we can help you with something else!

Thanks, Sandra. I basically followed the videos on your YouTube channel. I created two templates. One of the templates shows one post only, and the second template shows the latest archive posts as in the 3 parts videos in your channel. I want to know how to use the second one after I created it. Why do I need to create if I cannot link it to a page or get the page to show based on that template? I must be missing something.
Thanks.

Hi,
Thank you for all these details!
Did you create the second template for the Blog page to display all posts? What display condition did you set for this template? Could you please send us a screenshot of this?
There are 2 methods of displaying all posts and for this reason, I need a bit more details about this aspect. Did you create a category and attach it to all posts? What video did you watch as a reference to create this template?
Thank you!

Hi Sandra,
The first template created was more than one template (archive), and the second template to one post.
I am just asking what is the use of the first template if I cannot map it to a page or a menu. The second template works nicely. I just wanted to understand the reason we had to create the first template.
FYI, this is my first WordPress website, and decided to invest in Brizy Pro (Life subscription). It is the first of anything that I bought on WordPress.
I eventually ended just creating the page in Brizy and mapped the menu to it. As of the first template, I see no use for it. BTW, I was following this tutorial

Thanks anyway.

Hi,
Thank you for being part of the Brizy Pro Lifetime family and for your trust in Brizy Pro. We are flattered to know that Brizy Pro are the first purchase on the WordPress environment.
The video you send us is about the homepage, If you want to display the latest posts inside the homepage, in such a way, you don't need a template for this. As you said, you can easily add the Posts element inside the page, select the category of posts you want to display and that's all. For this case, if you want to display the latest posts no matter the category, I recommend creating a new category (e.g. "Blog" or "All") and set it to all posts. After this, from the Posts element, select this newly created category.
The template is mostly recommended to be used for dynamic content. For example, if you want to create the Blog page, or Single Posts, or Category Posts page, or Shop page, etc.

Thanks again.
I think I was or still confused. The gentleman in the video created two templates but only used one in his example. Since I am new to WordPress (Joomla users for more than 15 years), I like to watch as many videos as I can before I embark on anything. I chose to create my own personal website using WP instead of Joomla. I chose your page builder instead of the more famous one because I like the dedication of the team in publishing many videos. In case you are curious what the website is it is www.balfaqih.com (it is not even 30% done).
